edit: if Shade Green is available as a standard color, aren't all the S/T and Dakar folks going to be upset?[/QUOTE]
some people pay $840 for GT silver and S/T buyers pay $4,220 for GT silver. I don’t get Porsche sometimes on paint and options pricing.

Shade green is cool. But 992 deserves a real green.

It will be interesting to see how it plays out. There is a long line to pay another price hike and play the 992.2 guinea pig. I may have to sit this round out. Wishing the best for those who pull the trigger, though.

Worst part is we may only know pricing on a couple of variants tomorrow. I too grabbed a late allocation on a .1 S but I’ll be happy with it regardless for my use. Regarding pricing, I think it will be between 6-7% increase on Base, but if everything else has new eturbos added, 10% wouldn’t surprise me. I have no clue so just playing this threads speculation game.
The base Carrera and S trims I don’t see more than a 6-7% increase coming.
Either way, I’m with you, I think taking a late 992.1 allocation is the right move. If nothing more, you can enjoy it for a little while, and use the trade power to help pick up a .2 allocation year or two down the road. Let them work out any kinks and pick up a 2026 build. Or you can keep one of the last manual cars in your stable for many years and watch it appreciate over time.

Your allocation that locks in June is for a 992.1 GTS right? So you’re thinking you might cancel it, and take a 992.2 Carrera S instead? I too have a June lock date for a GTS.

No the .2 one. I have made a mistake though, base car was locking in June, changed it to gts 4 cabrio - lock is July as I have been told for August/Sept production. This was 3 weeks ago - maybe there is a new email with more delays but I have not heard anything.

Can’t deny progress. I’m sure by what can be measured it will be a better car. And no one really complains about hybrid on Ferrari, McLaren, and even with the older 918 it was admired. I’m sure Porsche have nailed it.
Noting that, design changes can be tricky. Spy shot front didn’t quite do it, and the lights look a little squinty. Probably better in person. There’s no replacing the analog tach though

With this info, I can’t see any 992.2 GTS models being built at the factory before September/October

What about the base? Does anybody have one (.1) that will be produced in July/August?
Allocation for .2 were certainly provided for July production - at least for base. This does not mean that they have or will not move them forward a couple of months.

I have no idea but I agree September production is a safer bet for the GTS

There is a chance that they will have .2 and .1 911 on the assembly line at the same time though. I was at the factory on September 19, 2019 and I remember seeing 991.2 Speedsters coming down the line along with 992’s.
