Can you be more specific than "simple $20 dark vinyl PPF"? Do you mean a Vinyl wrap material, which is different than Paint Protection Film (PPF)?

Brand, Color?, etc... Thanks in advance for any additional information that would let other do the same.

Thanks @alex98ti, I've made note.
Now that I have researched it a bit, I'm more nervous now about completely covering now as technically it's illegal to cover them. The last thing I need is giving a cop probable cause to pull me over. I know it's unlikely, but, hey, I'm an Eagle Scout.

We really don’t care about that stuff.

I ended up using tinted film, instead of opaque vinyl.
VViViD Matte Black tint from
amazon amazon
. The reflector is still reflective, but the red is much more muted.

Used vivid black gloss vinyl I had laying around from a different project. $15 cost and 15 minutes to do

Anyone know where I can buy the body color matched part of the bumper like in this picture above?

Have it painted at a local body shop. Probably $400-$500

I went the easy route and had my Window Tint Installer wrap it with a 5% Film. Knocks the edge off the bright red.

Plus he did not charge me anything!!

Same here had the tint shop put in the darkest they had. Just keeps the eyes from focusing on the bright red.
