Frank was also saying they want to keep manuals around for as long as possible. Based on all the comments, it seems safe to say that the next generation pure BEV Boxster and Cayman will not be available with manuals. As for the 992.2 hybrids, it sounds like that is still TBD, but the "we are working on it" comments gives me hope.
Honda CRZ also had 130lb-ft of torque - the 6 speed manual already cannot handle the twin turbo 3.0L torque, so that’s why we get the 7 speed. And the torque is why the sport classic manual has a detuned engine.
IMO, no matter how many times someone mentions that it’s been done on a smaller, non-performance car before, it’s not going to happen on a 911. Even if it could work, there wouldn’t be room for the transmission / electric motor, as the current PDK makes a provision for a small electric motor and the manual does not allow for such space.
The Ioniq 5 n can be optioned with what they say has the same characteristics of a manual. This is on a car with 601 horsepower, 545 pound-feet of torque

I put a deposit on a C2S manual yesterday. My SA did not know if manuals were available in the 992.2 hybrid configuration.
BTW Aventurnie green showed up on the dealer configurator as being available till March 2024.
The reason I purchased 2022 992S was I wanted a ICE sports car with manual transmission while I could still get one. Pleased to recently learn that some models of the Toyota Tacoma truck still have a MT available.
porsche has always said and recently reiterated that will produce manuals as long as they can and / or their clients want one. they will be producing for some time, not to worrry.
bubba gump tends to have a lots of hyperbole in his posts.

Yeah as long as there are gasoline engines they will have manuals. Of course, they will not install manuals in electric cars because electric cars do not have multi speed transmissions.
Porsche plans to keep the 911 with an ICE/hybrid engine as long as regulations allow. There is zero reason that a real, 3-pedal, mechanical manual won't work with a hybrid. Obviously, the manual transmission can't work in an EV
Fortunately, I'm not afflicted with the gota-always-buy-the-newest disease. There is no reason my current cars won't last 20+ years. Even 30. If no one produces a vehicle that I want, I'll just keep what I have. If no one produces any more manuals, I won't ever be tempted to buy a new car. I'll safe a ton of money! So there is a large potential upside to manuals disappearing: contentment, without any desire/temptation to trade for something new. There are a lot of people who never made the leap from air cooled to water cooled. They are passionate, content, and happy. I think it will be similar with me: When manuals disappear, I'll be done buying new cars, and happy as a pig in sheet that I own the best cars ever made.
