porsche does time or mileage. They set the time on the ability to get the plugs out without issue due to dissimilar materials I believe.

Thats great. How much are your dealers charging for an Oil Change? The dealers around me all want around $800.

My is in for the same right now at 20K miles at 4 years, we are only doing oil, brake fluid, cabin filters, campaign updates and new windshield due to the gummy gasket around the windshield. Spark plugs and engine air filters will be in 2024. Service Rep concurs with this. On my 991.1, I did the same.

The location of them down low behind the rear wheels makes them somewhat exposed to the elements and thus susceptible to seizing in the sleeves hence the interval by time.

My dealer in Dallas charges $250. Independent charges PCA members $150.

No - as stated previously it is due to dissimilar metals and associated corrosion. There are no "sleeves". The plugs are essentially "buried" in the motor which is between the rear wheels.

Here's the official PCNA maintenance schedule. tl;dr: Major items are oil every year, brake fluid every two years, regardless of mileage. Plugs at 30k miles or 4 years, whichever comes first.
@kenjis992 I wouldn't let the dealer who created that BS quote near my car. Some of those made-up services are plain thievery.

I would think even with 5 hours of labor it's <$2k probably between 1-2K.
I was quoted $1,750 for mine which will come up in 2024 for my 2020.

At 4 years and 50k it was £1,600 for oil, plugs and filters on my C2.
Quite a lot of work. It took them 4 or 5 hours.
The spark plugs are a fiddle to get in and out as the coil packs are tight on the frame rails.

A normal oil change has been £350 I think I have had 3 of them.

It has been a relatively cheap car to look after and it is still like new.

I got a similar, attempted snowball treatment like the OP at an out of town BMW dealership for an X5. They wanted to perform a bunch of worthless BS. I sent a picture of the service proposal to a friend that is a former BMW master technician. Hell replied “WTF Hell No!” If I recall, their proposal was around $3800 on a five year vehicle with 6,000 miles.

Edit: Keep in mind that U.S dealer service writers are commission based. The more they sell you, the more money they make.

That’s suspiciously cheap unless you had your plugs done at the 3 year mark or this is an independent.

Annual or every 10,000 mile oil change is a separate document.

Thanks everyone for the reply and two cents, I had the service department requote and it came out to around 1.8k which sounds reasonable and I am a PCA member so I should be able to get 10% of parts and labor.

They left the 'Fuel System Cleaner (44K Platinum)' install in the quote, is this necessary at 7.5k miles ? Quick research online sounds like this is necessary over 20k miles or if at all if you use high quality premium gas (I only fill up at Chevron) ?

I also don't see this in the official Porsche 911 992 inspection sheet provided by BillyX above (thanks Billy!)

TIA again, appreciate all the feedbacks!

Fuel system cleaner is mostly for those who don't regularly use Top Tier gas. Top Tier gas contains the detergents that manufacturers recommend for their engines already. https://www.toptiergas.com/

Look at what they eliminated and they knocked off $2181! Most of it was nonsense and those that you might want in addition(key fob air filter cost pennies. Personally I would look for an indy as I feel they are being disingenuous to say the least and wouldnt give them the business on principle. As for being new to Porsche, its a car just like a Honda, Ford etc..not an airplane although the dealer would like you to believe that.
