It is really absurd how expensive wings have gotten. What happened to .50c wings? Now I go places and wings are "Market Price" like they are a Lobster or fresh caught Grouper. Do I need an index to track the price of wings now?
Those look pretty good but not as raw and visceral as old-school smoked wings. They've also gotten bloated and more mass-produced. I prefer manual sauce too.
My dealer has two GT3s in his showroom. Both are sold. One is a touring, and one has a wing. The touring is drop dead gorgeous. The one with the wing just looks silly to me. I think wings look good on ugly cars like the C8, but look ugly on beautiful cars like the 911.

My older brother had a Lamborghini countach in the 80s with a wing and it looked much nicer than the non wing version imho
and the countach 5000s wasn’t an ugly car. My 964 3.6 turbo with the OG whale tail had the complete look and I couldn’t imagine
that car without it. I’m looking forward to my GT3 wing car which is being built as I write this , and my personal opinion is
that the swan neck wing is just as beautiful as the previously mentioned two wings and no less complementary to the car.
Wing or no wing is a matter of opinion and choice, but thr 992.1 GT3 with the wing will go down in history as one of the best looking
wings in 911 history. My personal opinion of course.
I just pro-ordered the new Moshammer Evo II ducktail. Wasn't a fan of their original ducktail design. I'm a sucker for 2 things on 911s. Rocker decals and ducktails. My T came with the former, and I'm adding the latter.

So GT3 with wing, GT3RS and GT2RS, GT4 etc are all ugly/silly to you?

I too am not a fan of wings, too boy-racer for me. If you drive your car frequently at 10/10s then there is a use case for a functional wing. My use as a commuter, weekend carver, and occasional track use would be silly. It distracts from the classic lines of the car IMO. I don't understand how some people keep the little OEM wing up all the time--it looks silly. Even Carrera GT owners parking with their wing up-- I don't get it but to each their own.
