Getting this code, thought it was fuel cap, cleaned and tightened fuel cap , cleared code, came back a week late.
Lately service had to take down my fuel tank to fix a rattle, wondering that may be to do something with that.
I have an appointment with service next week.

The gas cap could be bad, tightening it won't fix that. Could be a hose leak or purge valve leak from the tank repair. Or, if you overfilled the gas tank prior to this occurrence, your evap cannister could be soaked.

Had one fill in between, when I fill up, once the gas pump shuts down, I don’t overfill after that.
Gas cap looks ok. Maybe something related to when they took the gas tank down to fix the rattle. I have appointment next week.
I had that code among others. They replaced all the fuel lines to clear it . engine out work, about 4 weeks without the car.
Piece de resistance was forgetting one of the bolts in the rear wheel. Trustworthy service.

Unfortunately the technician missed the proper replacement of something or perhaps might have inadvertently damaged a seal or a hose. In any case you are on the right track.
