Hi- I have a MY2023 C2. After a thousand miles, the check engine light went off. My OBDII scanner read out P0089. I live on Maui, and I need to wait until the dealer on Oahu sends a technician over to my island. Has anyone else experienced this?
Looks like it traces to a fuel pressure issue (you probably knew that already). Any issues in driving (running lean, hesitating, take longer to crank over when starting?). Could be fuel filter clogged, fuel pump bad, or bad regulator.
However with just 1000 miles, try clearing the code and see if you get it again.. You probably only had a few tanks of gas run through it - I doubt you had bad gas and clogging the filter. Clear it with an ODBII reader, and see if it comes back. If it does, likely one of the couple things I mentioned above.
Thanks for the feedback! It sounds like this is not a widespread problem... that's good! I tightened the cap, & the error message intermittently disappears and then reappears. I'll let you know what the dealer finds!
Not the travel time, just the airfare and hotel (as we have a few people that have their cars done at the same time). We are only flying someone in from about 1-1.5 hours flight. But he does not charge for that time.
For Maui, the Porsche dealer schedules a technician to fly out from Oahu (the main island). The technician then works out of the BMW dealer's service shop.
I wouldn't have bought a new car without some previously established process.
MY23 GT3 here. 950 miles.
Yesterday I threw a "Engine Control Error" message yesterday which went away, came back, and then threw a CEL.
Bought the Ancel AD530 from Amazon for $50.00.
One DTC P0089.
I had filled up from very empty that morning and drove about a mile until shutting down.
I cleared code just now and will update if it comes back.
Just came across this thread searching on the error code and thought I'd weigh in here with another instance of problem. Hopeful this is just bad gas, bad screw job on my Porsche Designs $180.00 gas cap, or some air in the tank from running down to nearly empty.

At $180 I think that gas cap was involved in multiple bad screw jobs.

Just a quick update on my end. I have cleared the DTC twice now and had them come back. Love to hear what your outcome is when the tech gets into it.
Hi- I took my car in for service. The dealer confirmed the P0089 error. Everything else checked out normally. He concluded that my car has a software issue that he’s seen in several other MY2023 cars. Porsche advised him that customers should drive the car as intended. They are working on a software patch.
