Default Quad light install

I'm interested in installing these lights given the long winter and darkness we have with no road illumination. Has anyone installed these? I'm most interested in the wiring and wire routing through the frunk and tie in with hi-beams or preferably on its own switch. TIA

Not specifically these but these or other similar quad frunk lights.

IF being serious - better off doing a light bar at the top.

If you do this you should lean into it and get some Dakar stuff too. Mudflaps, rock protectors, etc.

A decent skidplate ...

Don't really need rock protectors that much, in winter it's all snow and ice and roads are great. I will ditch my Michelin Alpin and finally get the Nokian Hakka studded. Thanks

Nah just, as for the past near 60 years, personalizing (not pimping) my ride for what I need where I live. I drive the 992 all year round - only limited to above -15F due to Liqui Moly 5w-40 C40 oil and of course depth of snow.

I'm doing a 3,600 mile road trip from El Paso-home (flying down) as of next week to haul back a Class A, so I'll start tackling this late May assuming I can find some info - measure four times cut once...

I probably would not cut the OEM hood. DarwinPro sells a GT3 style hood made out of FRP for $1700 or so. If you ever want to sell it or trade it - just put the OEM hood back on.

Some of my past work and reason why I mentioned "measure 4 times, cut once". Thanks for the DarwinPro suggestion, I'll check it out!

Bug lights

Functional shaker scoop on original hood. One drill bit and air snips and a lot of prayer until I got to the other end and closed the hood

Yeah if it were me I would get an aftermarket hood and cut away. But you people up there have your own ways or so Ive heard. Will be interesting to see what you come up with, I'm sure it will be even more polarizing than manual vs pdk or RAS vs no RAS

The Dakar look is not my thing but can fully understand your situation. Link to hood

Wonder how rigid it is and could it be affected by temps up here. Thank you, will also ask them about the quad lights when I get back. Again thank you all!
