What is this sill pocket for?

Being new to Porsche products, I’m not familiar to the history of this piece. What does this hold? Pens, a couple spanners, a few bratwursts? I’ve searched and haven’t found much info.

Captures the overflow from the beverage in the passenger side cup holder when you're making a right turn at twice the posted speed......

Maybe it's basically the same part as the driver's side sill but without the frunk/ engine cover controls

And just like that, a year into ownership, and I learned something new today about my car.

Guess a lot of people are aware of what this is for because the umbrella is sold out!

Even the SA didn't know what this is for. I asked him about an umbrella for it and he just shrugged and he didn't know why that is there.

It fits the Porsche umbrella. I don’t know if it can still be bought from Porsche. I found one on eBay. I will say if there is even the slightest bit of wind the umbrella will not stay open. It’s very flimsy. I used it once for my wife.
