Default GTS MSRP order price break down?

Hi all

The car will arrive soon and my SA sent this sheet.

Delivery handling and tax is $1450
Build $156,420
So total $157,870

Based on 157,870 adding
another total fee of 1,440.75.
and tax. $14413,39

Total 173,724.14?

I do not understand why there is an additional fee and tax twice?

Thanks in advance.

Why not ask your SA the same question before you decline. I doubt it is an ADM. Could be gas guzzler tax or some particular state tax in addition to the sales tax.

SA told me 1,440.75 is CA dmv registration fee. 14413,39 is the tax 9.3%. Ah ha. CA is sucks!

Are you sure that $1450 isn't the "Delivery, Processing and Handling Fee" which is really just part of the MSRP?
If you build a GTS coupe on Porsche USA that fee is now $1650.

I have no speculative answer for the $1440.75.

Agree it’s prob standard delivery fee, but a 1% fee will force you walk away? this car is probably not for you then.

It all looks proper to me. Delivery Handling and Tax at $1450 is the Porsche Delivery, Processing and Handling Fee. We all pay this in the US (its up to $1650 now for new orders). The other is your California sales tax. In CA there are regulations on dealer doc fees. It cannot exceed $85 as I recall. You then have state DMV fees (could be the $1440.75)

Use Fee in California is 7.25%. So on a $157,870 price the tax is $11,445. On top of that you have registration which is over $1000 etc. etc. I would just ask for a breakdown but all in all makes sense. I don't see an ADM there.

Is this your first time buying a car? CA charges essentially 1% of a car's price as registration yearly and close to 10%(depending on county) for sales tax.

Seems like there are always some extra fees at the end. Some I’ve forgotten about from previous purchases and some new ones.

No this is not a first time. Since car price is high I was nervous. Thanks for all information.

you can calculate fees using DMV's calculator. Used this before and it was pretty accurate. https://www.dmv.ca.gov/wasapp/FeeCal...VehicleForm.do

Move to FL. Registration is $48 a year. Here in CO we pay registration based on value for first 5 years. So my registration was almost $1,800 year 1.
