GTS MSRP order price break down?

Delivery and handling is just that, no tax there (mine was $1350 last year, 2023 is now $1650)
The $14K+ is sales tax ... ain't it great to live in the bluest and most progressive state in the union?
It's an expensive car. DMV is gonna cost you. That's true most anywhere ... hopefully the annual tag fees will be less after your first installment.
Looks like you didn't pay doc fees. My state charges $10, but the dealer can add more if he wants. It's essentially an ADM, but if charged, most states require ALL customers pay it, though a nice dealer might subtract it from the MSRP.
You didn't pay ADM, which is a good thing. Some markets were $25K extra for a GTS.

Hi all
The car will arrive soon and my SA sent this sheet.
Delivery handling and tax is $1450
Build $156,420
So total $157,870
Based on 157,870 adding
another total fee of 1,440.75.
and tax. $14413,39
Total 173,724.14?
I do not understand why there is an additional fee and tax twice?
Thanks in advance.

I've always said, so I'll repeat it one more time. Stop concentrating on discounts, MSRP and other smoke and mirrors. The ONLY price you should be interested in, is the WALKING OUT THE DOOR PRICE. Once every option and conceivable add-on cost has been mentioned; that's the price.
If you feel you're being jerked around, it's your right to walk away, whether it's $1,400 or $140 bucks. It's not about "the car's not for you", it's your decision and one only you can make. Everyone is different and what gets your gander up may not the next person.
As for registration, come to Alaska, our registration is $100 bucks for two years with no emissions testing and if you're over 65 you can register one car with no fees for life with P(ermanent) tags. The wife's Macan and my Touareg are on P tags. I think vanity plates are $25 bucks and there are like 6 or more different color plates to chose from. Oh and I forgot, no sales or other tax. So buy elsewhere and import with no hassle.
