Default Tint or no tint

About to pull the trigger on a 992 cabriolet. White with black roof and black carrera wheels. The windows ( not windshield) are tinted pretty dark. Not sure I’m a fan, as I’m 65 years young. Seller is willing to have it removed. Thoughts on tint or no tint?

My car is tinted, because I don’t want people seeing me rock out to Miley Cyrus.

I would leave it on and after you live with the car decide if you want to take it off

Definitely no tint for me and I’m 42. It just looks wrong on a Porsche 911 sorry.

No dark tint on a 992. Doesn't look right and the visibility already isn't the best with the amount of glass around you.... I do install a clear (almost) completely UV blocking tint on all my cars. Left arm is a hot spot for skin cancer!!!

I’d keep it on for now and you can remove it later after living with it if you don’t like it. But I like dark tints.

Do you have any pictures of the car?

No tint for me for 28 years until the last 10 years, because of the increasing heat. But only go for 70% tint window film (Picture attached with V-Kool VK70).
Still prefer no tint if the weather isn't that hot these years. Cars do look cleaner and new without tint (IMHO) !

i tint all my cars the legal 35% where we are...cuts down on heat and gives a little privacy

this is completely personal preference

Always tint no matter what.

The discussion is how dark. You can go clear if you prefer.

Super dark tint means other drivers can't see your face which means that other drivers can't tell where you are looking so have less information with which to navigate traffic.

I prefer 30-35% tint. Not too dark as to be illegal where you live. Also, if you tint, suggest you use a IR specific film (provide 90% heat rejection…the usual UV films used in most car tints reject very little heat)…to cut down on the portion of the spectrum that causes skin cancer and will keep the interior of the car cooler.

I also went 35% on the sides and rear then 70% on the windshield.
