45% sides/rear and 70% windshield. For me, the 45% sides/rear is a great option for wanting some privacy but great nighttime vision. Edited to demonstrate how different angles show a very different looking tint darkness.

I optioned the Sport Seats Plus Backrest Shells in Leather with chalk Inlay on the seat backs on my Targa 4 GTS. Tinted the rear window 35% which blocks the view of the seat backs, a $1900. error.

I removed the tint that came on my GT3. A big reason was that you couldn’t seen the buckets and that changes the look of the car. Sounds weird, but true.
I tinted my GT Silver. Two days later I had them remove it - just wasn’t the look I wanted. That was Xpel Black, 70% I think. Amazed how dark it made it look with a black interior.
one reason for me was I like to see the deviated stitching when looking from outside. Window tint hid it.
Personal preference tinted most of my sedans/suv's. On 911's I prefer the no tint look. I would cinsidet doing a front windshield clear ppf to protect for rock chips and uv.
It is so very hot here in Florida that tint is a absolute necessity for my vehicles. But I still need to see at night and I don't care for the complete blacked-out look. I went with the best IR spec 35% on back and sides from my installer. Perfect for my taste.
Tint is a must no matter where in the country you are. Protects the cars interior. Darkness of tint is the real discussion. You can get clear tint that will block 95%+ of UV. I have 75% on my windshield - you can't tell it's there but you don't even need sunglasses to drive into the sun.

With my car being blacked out all over, I was thinking of going with 35%, then after all this review, I may even consider 45% all around, excluding the windshields.
