Default Aventurine Green Discontinued

Well it was a good run, let's pour one out for this fantastic heritage color being discontinued. It was removed from the configurator last night. I think a few more options were modified amidst the configurator changes as well. The closest color available appears to be PTS Rock Green Metallic.

After an 18 month wait I finally got my build slot for a Dec 24 build for a Targa 4, unfortunately Aventurine Green is discontinued on 30th Nov but with the help of my dealer and Porsche UK my build slot was brought forward by a few days and the build was confirmed for Aventurine Green with the Heritage Design Interior Pack in cognac / black with the Pepita seat centres. Main other options were sports chrono, surround view. Delivery is expected to the dealer in Jan 24. Plan to keep the car for good so really pleased with the more classic look for the Targa. I suspect the car will be one of the last Aventurine Green cars off the lin.

Bummer, I was going to order this color if I ever received an allocation. I guess my choice to buy a pre-owned a couple of weeks ago was the right one. No AG and a $10k price hike would hurt. It looks like you can no longer get the rear 911 Carrera emblem in gloss black.

…seems fewer standard metallic colors, while Porsche is pushing the buyer towards “paint to sample” colors (if you want something less standard/boring) it will cost you an additional $13,150…or “paint to sample Plus” for $30, 020.

Geez.

Money grab….

Guess I’ll hold on to my AG longer than I originally thought I would…🤔

We got hit with a double whammy last night.... cost increase + reduction in options. It'll definitely give owners more of a reason to hang onto their cars.

Default AGM is now one of the "Best Colors" in the Porsche lineup

Those of us that have an Aventurine Green Metallic car are the lucky ones!

Python also gone, what does Porsche have against a green option without going PTS?

I noticed this too - they literally did away with all green options. It's just a mass of different grays with a couple of blues and reds. These pigments must be getting REAL expensive -_-

718 lineup seems to have been gutted too - T, Spyder and GT4 models are gone.

Will be holding onto this one for a longggg time. Color changes so much depending on lighting.

Crazy there are 0 non PTS greens available when every manufacturer is releasing green color options recenrly.

wow thats crazy. I was looking through the PCNA website to see all the price increases and it seemed like gt4 got away with a farily low bump, but that would explain why...

The crazy thing is that while they are pushing people to paint to sample, you can’t get an allocation for a car in paint to sample. I ordered my 4S in November, and I wanted paint to sample, and there was a stop sale on PTS for that car for last year and this year apparently. I know someone with a turbo allocation who was told same thing: no PTS available in 2023.

Yup same here, I was all in on PTS when I ordered my T back in November and got a call back an hour after leaving the dealership saying they were just informed about the PTS stop sale. I went with gentian which I think is a nice color but it is really baffling that Porsche wont take even just a handful of PTS options to give more variety, don't even have to be bold colors just some dark metallic red or green would have been enough.
