I redid the full configuration of my 2020 Carrera 4S with the new pricing and Aventurine Green now as a PTS color. To get the same car that I purchased in 2019, it’s now almost $35k more than I paid back then. LOL
Paying PTS prices to get AG would be the most insane thing ever. I don’t think anyone will do that. You never want to PTS a color that other people got for free on the same model. The trick with PTS is picking something that Porsche won’t likely offer for free in the near future.
Ironically green is on trend right now, so it’s interesting Porsche canned AG.
The more interesting thing to me is cancelling Carrera White Metallic. That’s shocking to me - that color has been available forever.
No buckets or PCCBs, very boring color palate and a jacked up MSRP. Not great.
The crazy thing is that while they are pushing people to paint to sample, you can’t get an allocation for a car in paint to sample. I ordered my 4S in November, and I wanted paint to sample, and there was a stop sale on PTS for that car for last year and this year apparently. I know someone with a turbo allocation who was told same thing: no PTS available in 2023.
It is stop sale because the Dakar models need the pts paint booth.
My C2 Aventurine Green order went in last week. Saved over $20K from the new price increase and AG going to PTS.
Funny thing is I kept going back and forth between AG and Gt Silver. Glad I went with AG, now a more exclusive color.

It is a strange thing, but it seems to happen occasionally.
The 991.1 was first offered as a 2012.5 model and for that half year you could get Carrara White or "White". 6 months later for 2013 they eliminated Carrara white and only offered regular "white", which was surprising to me as I ordered my dealer's first 991.1 C4S (and first '13). I'm not sure when Carrara came back.
When I made my regular pass through the configurator I noticed AG was gone. Mine is supposed to arrive June 30. My dealer said I am safe, Just in time. AG with truffle and a black top. I cant wait it is a beautiful color.

AG with truffle brown leather is classic.Green with brown interior is how Ferry Porsche spec’d his 911s.

As a data point my AG is supposedly arriving 7/30 and my SA stated my color and original price are locked in. Thank goodness as getting them both now is at least $23,000 more.
I saw that yesterday when I was on the configurator. I tried selecting Aventurine Green and got a message that says option unavailable. It’s just a tease.
