A few pictures from recent European Delivery
Just got back from a wonderful trip to Germany. Picked the car up in Leipzig and took her for an 1800 mile tour through Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Just wanted to post some pictures. Will get some more pictures and do a write up when I get a chance. Car is amazing. Especially on the Autobahn.

Love it. Did it years ago with my BMW 335i. Just the best way to get a car. Outside of the wait to get it stateside.

Awesome! My Leipzig ED is scheduled for first week of June... Really looking forward to hearing more about your journey, as I can already see from your pics we will have some overlap on destinations!

Obviously with only 1800 miles you haven’t exceeded 2000 rpm yet 🤣🤣🤣🤣
BTW the hard part is waiting for the car to arrive stateside.
I did a European delivery of an AMG - we toured Germany, Switzerland, Italy and Austria. Definitely a trip never to be forgotten.

We missed out on driving our own car in Europe because it wasn't ready in time. (Missing TPMS sensors).
We did the trip anyway in a rented Audi A5 which turned out to be a great car for the trip.

Woderful experience, and the perfect car do do it in. Did the same (different car) about 15 years ago.
Hopefully, you got a chance to visit Baden-Baden, and their Roman hot baths…

The Audi was great car. Diesel, so it got great mileage. That matters when the gas is $10/gallon.
The Audi was good also because the infotainment system, Nav and controls are very similar to Porsche, so it got me used to the controls on our new car.
We did go to Baden-Baden but didn't make it to the Roman baths. A reason to go back!
We also went to Lixheim nearby in France where I found the graves of my great-great-grandparents (and possible others).

Sounds like you had a great and worthwhile trip….
Had the time of my life when i did a European delivery many years ago. The only downer for me was….at that time, i was living in Boston, and the closest US port of entry for my car was Baltimore. So, once I got notice that the car was ready for me to pick up at the port of entry (not at a dealership), a co-worker and I drove down. We arrived about an hour before they opened the gates….so my buddy and I, along with others who were there for their car, walked along the fence trying to spot our respective cars. After looking for about 20 minutes, my co-worker said he “thinks” he spotted my car. When I went to take a look, I saw a car the same make, model and color as my car, with the hood all smashed in. My heart collapsed, so from then until they let us in, was the longest wait of my life. Luckily, that car was not mine…but some other chap was going to be crushed (Pun intended).

I am still waiting for an update from local dealer. My Porsche web shows the manufacturing start date is April 19th.
