My DD is a KIA EV6. 100% Electric and our Solar Panels keep it charged. We've had it now for exactly one year. With the federal and state tax credits and its current resale value, our cost would be negative $ if we sold it. I call that a cheap car! I've never had a car that was an appreciating asset, but so far this one is working out quite well.

I have its Ioniq 5 sibling as my daily. Not really cool in my line of work to daily something flashy, and it gets great range and is super comfortable to drive. I paid $62k Canadian for the top of the line AWD version, but got a $5k federal (Canadian) EV rebate. Locally on AutoTrader people are asking $75k plus for used examples.

Have you ever driven a pickup?

They can be fun to drive. It's a Tonka truck thing - hard to explain. The times when you need a bed to carry things, it's a real life saver. It's also fun having a vehicle you can bash around in, go off-road, etc. They also can look cool and looks are a big part of what draws me to any vehicle.

I used to own a Tacoma and if I had the room, I'd own a truck still. I would love to have an '85 Xtracab, Back to the Future style.

My daily is a '23 Macan GTS which replaced a '21 Macan Turbo. My 992 C2S is my weekender.

Agreed, my Taco is lifted with a few other goodies. It is very versatile for so many tasks for what I and my family use it for. It is fun to drive and a nice change from just about everything else. Should last forever too, my only complaints are the ancient 6 speed transmission and truly horrid MPG. Partly my fault for lifting it and slapping 33s on it though. Wish I would’ve got a manual, but my wife refuses to learn how to drive a manual and she uses it a lot too.

Was this one the “Back to the Future” truck?

2022 F-150 Platinum Black Appearance Package, I have replaced the stock tires and wheels with Fuel wheels and Toyo AT3s
Been driving them for 35 years as my business and DD vehicle, went from F-350 to the 150 in 2009. 2009, 2013, 2016, 2019, 2022. The eco boost is a great toy towing machine.

No this one sold on Bringatrailer. It’s very well done.

I really liked my Tacoma. It’s just an honest, no bullsh*t truck.

I have driven pickup trucks on 2 or 3 occasions. Felt like I was driving my living room around and couldn’t wait to get out.

But I also find my wife’s Cayenne to be enormous and agricultural.

Maybe it’s because I’m 6’6” and I don’t have any latent desire to tower over people but I hate the feeling of being so high up while driving.

I do have a Chevy Colorado that i usually drive on crappy or snowy days. It's nice to not have to worry about much of anything especially with snowy days. No worries about door dings, fries on the floor or salt on the roads.

Great ski truck as well!

I have a close friend of many years with a net worth well in excess of 50 million who drives pick ups 95% of the time. Yo Yos and losers striving for a scrap of financial validation will shun these vehicles as they interfere with the social and economic smoke screens these clowns invent.
A psychologically healthy, emotionally secure person is not handicapped with this dysfunctional mindset.
Agree. Gotta love these members who think because they like blue everyone should have blue. Just want to mention that Sam Walton, one of the richest men on earth before his death, drove his beater pick up truck everyday. Here is photo of my truck this morning with a load of 4 foot by six foot sheet rock parked next to wife’s Cayenne. I also bought six light bulbs while I was there. This is my second Tacoma. Love this truck. Drove one in Afghanistan and became addicted.
