I installed mine with an aerokit. The hardest part is getting my fat fingers in there to plug in the unit. It helps to get the backend up in the air a little.

Has anybody experienced an issue upon starting the car where it went into "reduced power mode"? I use the controller for a year now w/o any problems and this weekend my car signaled "reduced power mode" aka limp mode. What was interesting, the valves clearly were wide open and using the remote I could not close them. I "limped" to where I had to go and after parking for an hour and restart the issue went away. Car sounds and drives normal again, no message. I chuck it up under "controller got stock" but wonder if I am the only one who came across that blip.

Yes. I immediately turn the car off and re-start. It always goes away.

Edit: I am only guessing, but it seems like something is sticking as mine didn't do this for sveral months after install. When it does do as you describe on start, it sounds like the valves are open. When I re-start it sounds as if valves are closed (or at least more closed). This only happens infrequently and I can't isolate a cause.

This has been discussed at length. See for instance my post #799 above.

That's the problem .. its.post #799. Sometimes we just need a quick answer and don't have the time to search through 100's of posts. (yes, I know the search function).

So could you confirm that the solution to the issue of the reduced power mode CEL at start-up requires a module swap? Pretty sure that's what your post indicated but want to be certain before I ping Supreme.

if it happens just once in a while why bother. Just restart the car. It happened to me once in 1+ year of use and I just asked as I made other changes recently and wanted to confirm that this hiccup is likely the valves and not the other changes I did. Until it happens often/frequently its no concern to me.

Why? Type A+ wiring. It's an annoying affliction even if it is helpful at times.

Do you have to wait for after the break in period to install this or can this be done right away?

As far as I know it can be installed right away. The unit allows for the valves to be opened all the time when ever its activated.

Sorry, I just saw this, Yes, getting a new module fixed the problem. I have no error codes now.

I’m sure this is answered somewhere in the 55 pages of this thread so sorry in advance.

if you select valves closed, do they stay shut no matter what, or open as needed?

Valves closed mode keeps the cold start quiet but would open as needed at higher RPM?
