Are base 911 allocations actually available?
I was lucky, as I randomly walked into a P store to test drive a used cab. Asked about allocations and SA said they have four, one being a cab. It was a C2. I took it and ordered with options I wanted. Pure luck
I've been on the waiting list for about 9 months. Dealer called and said I'm #1 on the list and an allocation is available but includes a $10k ADM. I passed. There is a new dealership opening this month near me. Anyone have any ideas on how new dealerships receive allocations?

I'm on the waiting list at 2 other dealers that are MSRP, but obviously the wait is much longer. What really irks me that I was initially told the ADM would be $5k which I agreed to. Then it's increased at the last minute. I tried to negotiate by offering to finance through them or buy an extended warranty (at least something for my money) but they held firm.
The new dealer is owned by indigoautogroup, which has another dealership in town (and I'm on their list but further back). Indigoautogroup has several dealerships across the states so hopefully they will throw a couple of allocations to this new one.

Every deal is different. Is your MSRP order a straight purchase with no additional add ons, no trade, no finance requirements, no overly excessively optioned car and no prior history of buying Porsches from them? These details may help @BrianFreeman out a bit in negotiating.

That should be perfect leverage power for @BrianFreeman then if trying to get a car from Indigo. You should share your SA with him and specific dealer. He can tell his SA at indigo to look up your deal to match or even contact your SA direct for an order at msrp and have it delivered to him.

Manufacturers commonly do this to get owners to spend the money to build a new store or upgrade the facility to the latest and greatest. When stores change hands often manufacturers will give extra allocations as well.
It is entirely possible that you may move up a wait list quicker than elsewhere because the store is new. Since this new store is owned by the same dealer as the others nearby they may shuffle inventory/allocation between the stores too. Who knows.

I got a base allocation at the of March should and should be taking delivery in a few weeks. My local dealer was kind enough to trade his T allocation for my base, as that was my preference. I would suggest putting your name on as many in State dealers as you can. From what I've heard, what version of 911's dealer receive from Porsche is very random. Also don't dismiss a dealer asking $10K ADM. If they have a list of Base C2 buyers and no one is biting on the $10k ADM they'll start negotiating. It's the same as negotiating off of MSRP back in the day.
