what the heck is this? Why did the gt3 lose so badly even on the rolling race? Gts trapped higher in 1/4 mile also. Damp conditions but both cars are RWD…

They’re pretty identical in the 1/4 mile based on professional review numbers; could be the driver here.
From a roll, I wouldn’t be surprised if GTS was faster because the GT3 doesn't have as much torque for rolls on a straight line, and the high spoiler slows it down.

I sure know it looks better when 98% of the time the car isn’t being raced lol

Road & Track discussed this back in June 2022. It's one of the (small) reasons I chose the 4 GTS.
The Porsche 911 GTS Is a GT3 for the Real World
It feels as fast, if not faster than a GT3 out on normal roads, and it won't pulverize your spine, either.

If I had to guess, I would say that it was cold day and the tires on the GT3 simply weren't up to temperature. But all things being equal, I think the GTS and the GT3, both with a PDK, would run each other quite close in acceleration.

I’ve been on track with many GT3s and have found acceleration to be on par with my C2S so not surprised by the GTS performance.

I doubt very many GT3 owners would care. They’re built for the track, not the drag strip. If you want straight line fast, Turbo S is your pick,

these curves pretty much tell the story. GT3 loses due to lack of torque especially down low and peak HP not happening until 8500 RPM. Will lose a straight line street or drag race every time.

Right, what a waste of an allocation sending a GT3 to someone who would even care to drag race it. That’s what the TTS is for like you say! Leave the GT3’s to those of us who appreciate what it can do on track with that trick aero!

Yup, GTS simply has more torque, especially lower in the RPM band. Therefore faster from a standing start or slow roll. GT3 would fair better coming out of a corner with the motor at higher RPM's.

OMG, the GTS is the bestest car, ever! 👍 Glad we settled that debate.
I was starting to get worried we were running out of GTS threads.

not intended as a better or worse discussion. On the street the GTS has a definite power band advantage, on a track it's all about the GT3. Cheers
