I got the subsecond clock option and love it during the day. However, at night I can barely see the hour hand and cannot see the minute hand. It seems like the white luminessense (sp) on the hands is not working.
Anyone with this option want to chime in on the nite time readability of your subsecond clock.
I do have an appointment with the dealer to address but am curious if this is commonplace.
As much as I favor the sub sec clock over the standard chrono, I think the use of super luminova for the hands is a bad call. I understand why they did it; watches uses it and the sub sec clock is suppose to be mirror that.
But super luminova requires activation from light and only glows for only so long. I suspect most of our cars are stored in garages plus the fact it has a hood above to shield sunlight for readability. therefore, I suspect light activation is at a minimum.
They should have lit the hands electronically instead of using super luminova, even if it slightly departed from traditional watch making.
