I’m curious if anyone who has a 2024 MY 992 and the subsecond clock can report if it’s readable at night. I highly doubt that Porsche fixed this known problem (because the Porsche way seems to be to just ignore this type of issue), but I’m curious since it would be exceedingly easy for Porsche to either increase the wattage a bit, add a 4th brightness level to the existing 3, or perhaps add reflectivity to the paint that they use on the clock hands. I really wish I skipped that option…

I wonder if that’s because you’re young and/or have great eyes or if they changed something between 22 and 23. Even if I know what time it is and stare at the positions where I know the hands must be, they are still invisible at night. My wife recently had cataract surgery and can now see tiny details that I can’t even see with my reading glasses, yet the hands of the SS clock are also invisible to her at night. If Porsche really did change something on the 23 and later cars, I’d love to get my car retrofitted.
How about posting a photo?

If you want to see how the clock should be at nite, take a flashlite and aim it at the clock for about a minute. The hands will lite up perfectly as the luminescence will be rejuvenated. The only problem with this is that the "rejuvenated" luminescence will fade back to its original form in a couple of minutes. But you do get to see what the clock should look like at nite.
At a "hold you hostage" price of $1120, Porsche should do better.

Maybe I need to buy one of these.

It truly is mind boggling how Porsche could do so many stupid things. How is it possible that none of their engineers and designers ever noticed this? It's similar to the outer gauges being blocked. I just can't fathom how they can let such obvious flaws make it to production, especially when it would be so ridiculously easy to fix them.

Add heated steering wheel to the list of flaws-some wheels heat up fine others just get lukewarm like mine.
Also add the straps to pull back the seats
Add the outside door handles which inconsistently open for you.

This if from my 23 Cayenne GTS, took the picture at night. Clock face and second hand are brightly lit (backlit?). Hour and minute hand are not, and are not visible at night. Service manager said that is how it is designed.

I’ll get a picture later, but I think this is about how mine looks, but I can see it fine. I can see them fine in your picture also.
