Starting to finalize my build.
Sales associate says he only really recommends front axle lift on gt3 and it’s not necessary in the gts
Thoughts?

Scraped the front 5 secs leaving the dealership on a test drive and we were taking it from an angle and slow. Sales guy laughs and says it's happens all the time. It's liveable but having a front axle lift is a nice luxury......the point is u have to remember to push the button.
Have a few friends that keep forgetting to push the button in their gt3 or mis judges the dip..lol

Depends on where you drive.
I use my FAL on my GTS at least twice daily to the office. I even have to enter at a diagonal with FAL on to get through. Sometimes I still scrape but it happens on the underside of the lip so it isn’t visible.
The GPS feature for FAL is a nice touch though.

It only works if you push the button and/or it knows the GPS location. Human error is still in the logic loop.

Scraping is no big deal. The lip is a replaceable part which costs a couple hundred bucks. I scrape here and there on occasion but I have yet to cause any visible damage. You have to look underneath to see the scrapes.
No FAL GTS here.

I agree with the sales associate, Idk why people order the FAL on the GTS/Turbo it’s not necessary. It’s important only for the GT cars.

I think it's highly dependent on where you live and the roads you travel on. My driveway is up an incline and cars typically scrape on it. I also have speed bumps near my office that were designed terribly where you will 100% scrape unless in an suv. The roads where I live are also constantly under construction with weird dips and such, so I optioned the FAL on my C2. I could probably live without it, but I think it's a nice feature to have in Jersey with our roads and hills and mountains. If you live in FL or TX or something, I can definitely see skipping it though as the roads there are much more flat and in better condition. In my mind, it's like what $2500 on a $135k+ car? I say it's worth it if you are worried about it at all.
My sales guy also told me that it's not really needed, and then I told him I live on a big hill/small mountain and he agreed that it's probably better to have it in that case.

In NH and MA my GTS with no FAL scraped quite a bit.
entering my office the driveway crosses a sidewalk that the frost heaves up and that required some gymnastics.
My driveway also is a little frost buckled on main entrance so that required really slow angle approach.
I could not run Carbonio front plate, as it sticis down another 1/2 inch.
I could have lived without it....and did....but in New England i think its more than a nice to have

I feel like FAL is one of those options that if you have to ask whether you should option it, then most likely you should be optioning it.
Cuz, if you absolutely were certain there was no need for it, the topic wouldn't even come up.
