I just bought a 21 4S 194k msrp with 4500 miles for 158K. PCCB' and everything. Got do lucky, stoked about it.
You got a great deal, congrats! But man, how does one spec a 21 4S for $194k MSRP!! This is a great example of overdoing it with options will result in massive depreciation because the more options, the less you get back for them at resale.

What would you say is the right range for a C2S coupe?
As a further ADM data point, I agreed to terms a couple days ago and got my commission number for a GTS 4 Cabrio at list price, plus 6k for PPF/ceramic coat. The add on was a requirement as that's what they're doing in lieu of an ADM. That works for me as at least I'm getting something tangible in return, plus 6k isn't too further overpriced from a comparable shop's estimate. Delivery date is 8/16
Right around there, I agree. I think reasonable options on a C2S (or 4S for that matter) is around $25-30k. Of course, someone can option more to their heart’s content. My point is that north of $30k in options on these cars starts begging the question why not get a GTS (or in the case of the 2021 4S for $194k MSRP, could’ve even gotten a decently optioned turbo, which was $170k MSRP in 2021).

I originally wanted a GTS. Overtime, I realized that there are things about the GTS that I don’t like or want, and that I would be paying for them even though I didn’t like them: black theme, center locks (can chose another set of wheels, but still black and still paying center lock money), less sound deadening material, stiffer suspension (can also be removed, but still paying for it and no longer a “real” GTS if this is removed imho). Therefore, I decided to go for the S. My build, pre price increase, is far above the GTS base price (~$169k). My build has almost everything I wanted (there’s a stop sale on aerokit, so had to remove that), it’s far above the GTS base price, but I don’t want a GTS…
I know it’s high. I decided to go with what I wanted regardless of whether I’d be able to recover the money on trade-in. I plan to keep this car for a long time (although I’ve never kept any car for a long time, I think/feel this should be different - I might be kidding myself though).
