#46
Why does he phrase it like the GTS was made using parts from the spare parts bin??

Let’s be honest - all 911 variants are parts bin specials. They’re all riffs on the same basic car.

Does the S had SPASM? It seemed like it has the big front lip, so it must be SPASM? The spring rates of the S he is showing is from the PASM, but not the SPASM.

^^^ Dude, take a chill pill. …said tongue in cheek! There is always one in the crowd that gets their Panties twisted in a knot. Sensitive are we? Keyboard warrior, too eh? I can assure you, you wouldn’t say that to my face if you confronted me! Bet!

EDIT: No, not particularly sensitive, and taking a page out of your own tone, I can assure you I wouldn't be worried about saying anything to your face - bet or no. Just didn't enjoy your idiotic reduction of GTS (and TTS) buyers, particularly when juxtaposed against "bashers" of one trim level or another. I'll take back a$$hole because I don't know you, but you do come across as an a$$ with your comments. Particularly to GTS buyers, and especially to those, like me, who couldn't give a rat's a$$ what you or anyone else think of us.

I see Nick as an average 911 Carrera-S enthusiast sharing his views on social media, and I like it. I prefer Nick’s review to some others reading marketing script, in a hope to be invited to the next hedonistic launch event 😵💫
If you enjoy hearing his views then watch it, if you don’t like it then change the channel.

My $0.02 . . . . . . I wouldn't mind the "GTS" Power Increase (+2 PSI) as an option on an "S". However, for the street (ie real world), the rough, yet not ready for prime time, track duty suspension of the "GTS" seems like the choice of and for fledgling wannabe masochists. Punishment on the street, without what's really needed for serious track use.

Burning Brakes
1) He was wrong on the Turbo S
2) He was wrong on the Gt3
3)He trashed the 991.2 GTS calling it "the medallion wearing " model
4) He trashed the current GTS before it even arrived for him to drive
So after all of the above NOW he is trying to be "fair" . I look at this as an attempt to walk it back . After all if everyone wins then no one can say he lost . He is walking into this with his credibility gone on the GTS . This BTW is fresh off a Macan GTS whooping .
There is a big difference between driving around in a car for 30 minutes and making a youtube video versus owning one . He mentions the differences but won't praise them. The center lock wheel for example is the only forged wheel offered between the two. The Turbo brakes are different . The boost readings show a different throttle map . The suspension is more firm because its not a Panamera .His "drag race" claims are not a real drag race . He did this with the Macan too. Why not take the two cars to a drag strip ? With the 991 the GTS lost the roll race and he did credit the guys poor manual skill but the truth is a public highway is not a place to serve as a test place with accuracy (unless there are no cars like drag times who supplies both ).
He says that it costs "20K more" . Thats not true of one adds the RS wheel (available to both ) , PASM, and PSE . That takes the S to 133K . So for 13K more (apples to apples) just the brakes, wheels and tweaks are quite a Porschelandia bargain .
One point he fails to mention in. his cost analysis is the cost to own . The Carrera S was produced as a 2020, 21 , 22, and 23 car . The GTS is half of 22 and 23. That automatically. makes it more exclusive and sought after . It does not have to compete in resale with a 2020 car whereas a new S will have to . Used low mile 2019 991 GTS cars are fetching more than 2020 S cars .
Nick likes comfort . He likes decorative stitching , a sunroof, and he hates race tex . He is the eternal S owner .
I felt that her reminded me of a politician speaking trying to get swing votes (clicks and likes) more than. what we already knew was his genuine opinion before he ever made the video.

So Nick simply went retro journalist . Maybe he thought no one would remember 1998 .

Have you actually driven a GTS? Can you feel the pea under 10 mattresses, little princess? I think the ride of the GTS is dialed in perfectly for my use as a daily. I wonder whether the car he drove and the one that you didn't drive had PDCC. But, of course, I am speaking from experience and not just spewing garbage on the internet.

The GTS suspension is firm, but anyone can choose at additional cost the PASM option +10 mm to get a more comfortable ride in the GTS. This is so personal and it depends on the area where you live and the roads, whether they are good or bad. In my opinion the Nick Murray videos are entertaining but ultimately not representative of a GTS buyer. For Nick, the S is definitely the sweet spot.
