Does anyone know if the instructions posted for 992 are identical to cayenne as well? I have piwis 4, tabscan, and a 120A charger. Just trying to figure out how to do this for my 2022 cayenne gts. I appreciate the help. I am referring to the following instructions:
Code to be changed:
USA Matrix Code:8JU+8G4+AV2+B34+8K5 --CHANGE TO--EU MATRIX CODE:8JU+8G4+AV1+B01+8K8--Access to change this value is on Maintenance of vehicle data/F7
Autocode these modules: BCM1,BCM2, KOMBI, ZFAS, AIRBAG, CONBOX, LED HEADLIGHT LEFT AND RIGHT, PCM.
The automatic coding turn HOMELINK frequency into EU, and Dashboard Language to German, solution:
For homelink fix, on BCM1 manual coding Without |Rule -- Garage-Door-opener-Coding-Values: Change back from 0x21000 to 0x25000 then Write.
To Change language and metric back to US English: in Vehicle Data-Change B01 back to B34, Then auto code: Kombi Instrument only. Done. Cycle ignition off, reconnect Piwis, Delete all errors code.
Final step: Revert the vehicle data back to their original value and save, but at this last step DO NOT autocode. i repeat DO NOT AUTOCODE.

you have to be very careful about the aftermarket piwis head , cheaper one may damage the light control module
Yes my friend wants this done in his 2018 panamera with Matrix LED lights, but i was afraid to do it because i have tried programming new LED headlight module's purchased direct from porsche in the past (for a 2019 Macan), and my PIWIS 3 clone couldnt do it. I did a bunch of research on the issue back when it happened, and found out it is a limitation of the PIWIS 3 clone's due to the baud rate of the replica PT3G/VAS connectors not being fast enough to communicate with the LED headlight modules. Now i know that was programming a new replacement LED headlight module, so thats slightly different, but I see these steps do have auto coding of the left and right headlight modules, and im afraid of coding them and that failing as well. Has anyone had the auto coding of the left and right headlights fail when trying to follow the steps listed above?
Does anyone know if programming the LED headlight modules fails with the piwis 3 clone's, but coding should not? or is it hit or miss with every different VCI clone out there? ive used my PIWIS 3 clone to reprogram DME's and PDK modules successfully, and have done so many different things with it successfully, but the one thing im scared to mess with is anything thats related to the LED headlights.
Also i see the last step after making all the changes is to go back into Maintenance of vehicle data, and change all the settings back to the original US settings. Im curious what the reason is for this? Is reverting everything back to the original US settings is so that no codes get thrown or is there another reason?
What happens if you keep the vehicle data as is, with the Euro settings, and dont revert back to the US settings at the end? Is it just to cover your tracks during a dealer visit?

Buy used Oem one is the best solution , otherwise it will have huge risk to damage the control unit
The cheapest one for code maybe ok , but don’t use it for any control unit programming

ok so doing the auto code steps above should be ok to do? Just so i cover all bases before trying this, do you know if the auto coding fails will that ruin the headlights? Or do they automatically revert to the previous coding? I want to make sure nothing will happen and the only result is that the euro matrix lights will not work ofcourse?
You said you sell better quality VCI's to piwis owners that have damaged their headlight modules in the past? Can you DM me about this i may be interested, thanks.

however , using the cheap piwis head , you make still get failed for that coding session on certain control module , ( the performance on that head is very limited )
in the result , you may need to revert the VO and code control unit back to what it was , since half coding will result error . But unless you don’t do programming, it will not damage the control unit

but if it couldnt code the new VO wouldnt it fail coding back to the old vehicle settings as well? Don’t use VAS6154 clone and the cheap piwis tester ,if just small coding job for single control unit it may works but getting auto coding for all control units we know the performance is very poor
