Yes, many automobile manufacturers are in the same boat of having to certify. So what? Is the 2023 or 2024 matrix lighting going to be certified and activated…or is Porsche simply going to say, no, we’re not going to certify (even though we could) because we have a newer version of the matrix lighting coming out in the future? WTF?

Depending on the extent of the re-design, they may, or may not have to go through another certification? I have no idea? But even if they do, so what?

My claim is based on Porsche enthusiasts I know and socialize with…I have never been to a Porsche club event or cars and coffee where people were discussing adaptive headlights.
Why would they discuss adaptive headlights? 🤔 LOL. Never been to a Porsche event that was run at night? It’s a safety feature, as simple as that. Every Porsche event that I have been to, people talking about their car’s performance, modifications, lap times, or next generation(s) of Porsche’s,etc. Not about safety features on the car.

..and given the many threads on this topic, I would say you have no idea about the numbers.

I've seen a couple of videos on the cayenne forum from someone who has done it, so I believe it.

All the Audi ones have now been able to be coded for last year or so. Couple guys on my Audi forums do them remotely now.

It really was only a matter of time. The poster who revived this thread...his post history all has to do with coding.

My GTS allocation locks tomorrow. I removed the lights from my build sheet due the reasons mentioned in this thread, but now I'm wondering if I should add them back in...

Just took delivery of a March 2023 C4S build with Matrix and it is not active.

Neither were mine... but some people on this forum helped me 'activate' the additional functionality. Once activated they are a game changer at night.

Its like the beam throw is 5-10x longer than the car in front!
