Default Flooded Florida Porsches now on at CoParts

2021 Targa anyone?

Tempting, right? There are hundreds of high line cars already at CoParts. Soon to be on EBAY, I'm sure.

They have a few cars at their Florida Coparts facility....there are 269 Porches at this location.

Not without knowing the full extent of the damage, and have nothing better to do with my time….so, no.

A good place to get a replacement engine maybe? I’m sure electronics are no good but internals might be fine

Oh man, that’s rough. Feel bad for everyone impacted…. And a tiny bit bad for the cars!

Both work, it's preference. Tan with Red is the traditional Ferrari interior colors (called Ferrari Resale Red). I prefer black interior on a Guard Red Porsche, but really - its all up to what you prefer.

Zero temptation here.
Flood cars have all kinds of gremlins. Salt water flood cars are an order of magnitude worse.

Do you like bizarre, impossible to diagnose electrical and electronics issues? Then, a flood car is for you.

There will be hurricane cars that will be salvaged and their titles washed of that history. Without any irony, Florida is one of the states where that is easy to do.

So, even if you have the common sense to avoid these cars, a lot of them will still make it back to the market. In the short term, we will see a few “how do I start a 992 without a key” posts. In 6-9 months, you’ll see the RennList posts from a handful of used 992 buyers describing weird issues that no one has seen before.

I'm super tempted to buy one or two and rebuild them for rentals or track use. Just don't know that it's worth the headache.

That red car is on Estero Island and we have a house on it that was flooded.

Inside garage of house on Fort Myers Beach after hurricane Ian hit.
There is no way a car that sat in seven feet of water will be useable but the crooks will still try to make it so.
