That clock is way too cluttered for my eyes.

hello.
you switched from the standard SC or if I remember from the PDSC correct?
when you have time, if I am correct, can you tell me the part number of your PDSC if it’s still around and maybe a picture from the back connector?

thank you.

No I had the standard version, (which I updated to red) not PDSC…

Can anyone confirm if the workings of this PD clock were updated for the 992.2? This one looks well illuminated at night, while many seemed to complain about that in the past.

I optioned my June delivery Carrera S with the clock, so I’m just curious. Like others, I also got annoyed watching the second hand spin on my 2020 Carrera, zero function.

I would say that the photo very accurately captures my 992.1 PD clock illumination. The issue, as seen in the photo, is that the periphery is well lit, but the hands aren't. So while I agree that the entire clock is quite well lit up at night, it can be a little hard to discern where the hour and minute hands are with any level of precision. Despite this, I have zero regrets with the modification, and think it's head and shoulders above the "standard" sport chrono clock.

This is my experience as well. The hands just do not catch the light enough at night for an easy read.

Mine is nice and bright. Much of an upgrade versus that standard sport chrono.

Side question but what's the best way to clean the face/glass of the clock? Microfiber towel and glass cleaner?

I put a bit of my glass cleaner (Bilt Hamber) on a microfiber. And then go over it with a clean dry one.
