so a hypothetical for you. -even with a Bordeaux interior you would opt for the sub second clock and forego the Bordeaux clock/stopwatch? see I have never seen the clock in person and have seen the stopwatch in Bordeaux which I think goes well with the red interior. although maybe then its too much red. thank you !
3 years later you still wish you got the clock over the standard sport chrono? I am in same boat now and want the clock but also want the Bordeaux red to match the interior - which only comes in the stopwatch or compass.
If I had it to do all over again I would opt for the Porsche Design clock. I prefer the analog over the digital standard one that washes out with polarized sun glasses. It’s a classier design.
I don’t have a problem with the standard Sport Chrono clock, but I may update to the Porsche Design version at some point. Taking that dash section apart is a pain in the *** though. I should’ve switched clocks when I upgraded to leather with deviated stitching a year and a half ago.
I’m also a watch person and optioned the PD clock. It’s got all the typical details of a swiss watch, so I see it as a watch that the car wears. It’s illuminated with a nice glow at night

The Porsche Design clock is a lot nicer, but it's a spendy option (as are all interior upgrades on the 911). An OBTW, the hands don't show up well in the dark.

was this the case with older versions? In my 992.2, it’s illuminated with edge lighting and more lighting where the hands join in the center, so the entire face is very easy to see at night

I assume installation is pretty simple?

I am upgrading to the PDSC. (PN 971919204H 6N3)
It's just nicer....and I think even I can do teh swap on my own.
@M3Inline6 had that clock on my Turbo S and difficult to see at night! Looked cool in the daytime but for a functionally standpoint I like the stand sport chrono. You can see those digital numbers easily in day or night
