Do you agree with Nick - C2S is ULTIMATE!

Ok. Well, you say that tuning the engine may put undue stress on it that could have a negative impact.
The M-Engineering Tune offers approx. 75hp gain over the stock engine. That is somewhat significant and I can understand the argument that such and increase is not what that engine was built to withstand, etc. EXCEPT for the fact that the C2S / C4S engine was not built as the C2S / C4S engine. It was built as the GTS engine, which Porsche then detuned down to the C2S / C4S. The GTS engine doesn't have 30 more HP because it was made differently, it simply is the engine as Porsche intended without the limiting factors placed upon it for the C2S / C4S models. As a result the M-Engineering Tune essentially removes that limit and goes beyond it. YES, you can argue that by going beyond it, that higher level could be more than the engine can handle. But I would be shocked if the Porsche engines as built and released to the general public are at the top end of their performance and that there isn't more headroom available. Similar to how CPUs can be overclocked.

You don't have to agree with Nick to benefit from his vast experience with modern 911s. We depart on Race Tex and some other minor issues but he has been indespensible in my 911 build.
And there's no perfect 911 variant for everyone but the Base definitely offers the most bang for most people's buck and likely exceeds the performance needs of 90% of owners.

I don't agree with Nick. For me the GTS is the Ultimate 911. Lighter and better engine characteristics than the turbo but with a much better chassis than the Carrera or S. The brakes are better as well, but for me it is the chassis (and I don't care at all about the 30 hp).

I am going out for dinner today. I was going to get filet mignon at Ruth's Chris steak house
but I just heard Nick Murray say that a hamburger is the best food for the buck
so instead , I am going to Five Guys

Nick may not be the Porsche Idiot Savant (to borrow a watch term) that some here make him out to be, but I do enjoy his content on helicopters and aviation. At least for ***** and giggles.

Last track day Porsche wheeled out brand new GTS and GTS 4 I’d say the all wheel drive stood out .
I ordered a c4s and is in the North Atlantic steering 16 knots .
the interesting thing is these cars had less than 10 miles on them then right on the track to get the snot beat out of them.
what happened to the break in period???

C2S was my first P - I didn’t know how to drive it nor understand it and sold it after 6 months. 3 years later after a GT4, TTS and Gt3 I’d say it’s the best bang for buck in the 911. As far as Nick is concerned, he’s not an auto pro, is self-deprecating with a sense of humour and would be the first to admit he’s no Porsche guru. I found his explanations of the marque helpful when starting off.
