Has anyone had any issues trying to get this covered under CPO warranty? I just bought my 2020 C4S last November with 13k miles and discovered several places on my windshield where the seal is deteriorating. I’m in Orange County, CA as well.

I purchased a CPO'd 23 4S at Porsche Irvine and was told if the windshield adhesive showed signs of deterioration it would be replaced under warranty. You may want to call their service dept and see what they say.

Hmm, looks like yours being 2023 would still be under the standard manufacturer warranty so I’d assume you’re safe. Just CPO I would bet they’re very picky about what they want to cover, or to charge a couple hundred diagnostic fee. I was almost charged that fee to check out my low coolant warning, but I just topped it off and all is good. Do you happen to remember the service advisor who you spoke to about the problem? Giving them a call would be worth a shot either way, thanks!

I don't recall the name of the SA I spoke to. When I picked the car up in 10/24 I had to wait a bit for the paperwork. While waiting I closely inspected the car (as I had flown in to purchase it sight unseen) and noticed a small glob of adhesive on the top edge of the windshield on the driver side. The salesperson had a SA come out and look at it. The SA smoothed and cleaned the adhesive so it was no longer noticeable. His advice was to 'leave it' unless the adhesive started to ooze significantly. He said if it became a problem it would be covered under warranty (which I assumed included the two year CPO portion of the warranty). I haven't had a problem with if but I got the impression the SA was aware of the problem and would be inclined to replace the windshield under warranty. I think it would definitely be worth a visit to see what they say.

See Jon Lewis in service then come over and see us for windshield protection film 👌
CPO Should definitely be covered. Only if it's out of warranty then it might be a challenge. But this is a well known issue for 911 since 991.1 generation so technically the dealer should hopefully help you out.

My service advisor told me Porsche (Canada) will not cover this after factory warranty has expired, and no coverage during the CPO extended term.
I was hesitant to have it done, but with a year left on my factory coverage I had the glass replaced. I have CPO as well so I had asked about getting it done later and was told no.

Seems like a hit and miss...some dealers will honour to do it and some won't!! At the end of the day, it's something Porsche should have fixed from previous generations and haven't so they should honour to fix it.
And what is their explanation of why the moulding is melting if they are not going to cover it?
Just saw this happening to my 718 Spyder and made an appointment with my dealership. I sent them the NHTSA bulletin on the 992 so hopefully they're willing to replace it under warranty. My car was purchased as a CPO but the original warranty doesn't expire until July. *Fingers crossed*
Looks like there's a safety recall for this? Porsche Recall ARA3, NHTSA ID 24V-155 Looks like CPOers or anyone can get covered?
That maybe a different issue from the seal issue. It refers to light weight glass. The TSB for the seal issue:https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/20...49912-0001.pdf. Just got the Targa back after the windshield replacement. Took a week to get the windshield in which was fine with me as I was busy with other things and it’s a good place to keep the Targa. The SA did say its original warranty only not CPO as it states in the TSB. They used a good urethane so hopefully won’t be a problem in the future.

Anyone know the US cost of replacement (not under warranty)?
