It looks good to me in possibly 2024?

I own a 2023 Porsche 911:

It looks like the 2020 Porsche 911 that I owned before.

I filled out the new owner surveys. I told them 3.0L or 3.8L gas engines in the future 911 or I was out. Porsche makes their money from the new SUV's so stick 2000 pounds of batteries in those vehicles. Most girls that buy a SUV don't care.

Jason Camisa mentioned in his 991.2 Carrera review for MT that the 911 grew so much going from the 997 to 991 to allow room for a hybrid drivetrain. It was obviously cancelled for reasons unknown but that’s going to create additional pressure to get it out for the 992.2 debut imo. Doubly so with Porsche being a public company now.

You are a newbie, Are you saying that you have owned and driven the 997, 991, and the 992?

Just asking.

If given the choice between a 992.2 ICE and 992.2 KERS/Hybrid, I would be hard pressed to pass on the KERS model.

Can we treat each other with respect and at least a modicum of kindness?

PS: I bought my first Porsche in the early 1970s but have only used Rennlist and been a member of PCA since 2018.

God bless you,
TT

Tom,
This is social media. A guy has to be good or get trampled by the new guys that disrespect and argue:

This ain't no party, this ain't no disco
This ain't no fooling around
No time for dancing, or lovey dovey
I ain't got time for that now

I would be all for a base model with hybridization. Think that car would be a lot of fun. Granted I don't keep my cars long term so I can see why a lot of people would pass due to potential future problems. With that being said I would pick a NA 4.0 version over it everytime.

Base model should be the lower-tech entry model.

High-end models should have all the new tech like KERS, which gradually get handed-down to lesser derivatives.

Sorry, VR, but I detected no intent to disrespect. We are fellow Porsche enthusiasts. We can enjoy each other's company on this website without being mean, can't we?

If only we could have a 992 with the NA 4.0 from the 718. Hard to believe Porsche developed that motor only for relatively short lived use in the 718 GT4 and 718 GTS.

Amen, and it should have MT available as an option. PDK only base model is awful. I know we now have the T but that's not a replacement for a base 992 with MT. Plenty of people--myself included--thought the base 991.2 with MT and few options was a very satisfying and "relatively affordable" sports car.

God bless us all,
TT

Well, I have owned a 997.1, 997.2, 991, 987, 981, 958.2 and 992. That does not excuse a rude and disrespectful comment to NeinEleven or other members. This is NOT Facebook.

I suspect it’s PDK only because the manual 0-60 time wouldn’t be print friendly for a 110k sports car. But just speculating though.
