Engine vibration on acceleration.
The plot thickens for my personal situation, car was scratched (rear bumper) during the extended service visit to have the mounts replaced. It ended up being there for 38 days.
Now I have a scratch on the rear bumper cover that requires a bumper repaint. At this point I have requested the car be purchased back and start over.

The mounts did not change anything, the vibration concern persisted. I ended up putting the car in Sport and just living with it for the short time I had the car before selling it back.
100% agree this is not acceptable... seems like a complete oversight. For a car that is so highly refined, I don't expect it to have a vibration like this

My Turbo S has the exact same noise. It’s a MY23 built in June 23. Delivered to me late July 23. Noticed the issue the moment I drove it away from the dealer. I previously owned a turbo S, 992 MY21 and it did not make this irritating noise hence me noticing the noise on my MY 23 car immediately.
Had the workshop manager and a senior technician out in the car. Initially of course they couldn’t hear it, but my persistence paid off and together with a few sound recordings I had taken they had to accept there was a rattling noise. There are a few more threads on rennlist that describe this exact noise.
Porsche, do have a service bulletin which specifically talks about the engine mounts. It describes the sound reasonably well but states that there is no guarantee that changing the mounts will take the noise away which I personally find unacceptable. My car is booked in for the 5th of September to have new engine mount fitted. It’s quite a significant job apparently.
at the moment, I am in two minds, whether or not to reject the car back to the dealer, which is my legal, right here in the UK. I asked the dealer the question:-
if when I bought ordered this car, there had been a note next to the order which said
“the car will have an irritating Rattle at 1500 to 2000 rpm. It is caused by engine mounts not doing their job properly and even if they are replaced, the noise is not guaranteed to disappear.”
if this note had appeared, would I have bought the car. Answer to the question is categorically no
I will post again either when the car has had the work done, or if I have rejected it.

Sorry to hear, definitely frustrating and not something I expected either. Unfortunately my replacement mounts didn't fix anything and I sold my car back after they scratched it.
Waiting on the new one to return, should be another 2 months.

I have read in other threads on the PADM noise issue that a potential solution is replacing the PADM "hydro mounts" with regular rubber mounts, that are relatively expensive, under $300.
Granted this would be under warranty, but out of warranty it's one less thing that will fail and when they do need to be replaced are cheap, and long-lasting.
A software change needs to be made to reflect PADM replacement with rubber mounts.
I have heard it mentioned in the thread, but have not heard it corroborated that can be done by the dealer if the customer requests it.
I had PADM replaced a few weeks ago with the failure occurring when my base Carrera had 530 miles.
If it occurs again, then I'm going to request plain rubber mounts and see what happens.
