I’ve seen both “ratio” changes mentioned but also that it provides assistance.
If you’re negotiating a tight slalom, are you going to need to turn the steering wheel more if you have the PSP option?

It varies the level of assistance depending upon speed. It does not change the ratio.

I have PSP on my C2. My understanding is that it provides an extra boost (lighter steering effort) in low speed only. If you want faster slalom turn-ins, I assume Rear Steering is what you are looking for.

If you are doing tight slaloms at autocross, the real secret to fast times is to isolate yourself moving around in the seat. That will have a far bigger benefit that any steering ratio or effort. Most people don't realize how much they slide around in the seat during events.

My understanding is the PSP is really not necessary as the 992 turns so easily, even when parking. I did get Rear Axle Steering, which would certainly assist with a tight slalom. Lane shifts are quick.
