Good evening,
Reading all the posts, I was lucky as I was offered opportunity to buy my first 911. Got the call in the afternoon and got the car the next morning.
Absolutely love the car and enjoying the heck out of it. Tune or not is the next question.
I’m really happy with the tune I got from M Engineering dead simple process to install, took about 10 minutes. I had a few questions and Charles responded instantly. Customer service is second to none. The performance is next level. C2S

Nice spec. I love that interior.
What happened? Did someone else abandon their order?
I believe so. It was a very high options car.

M vs APR is my debate. Only 400 miles on car so far so plan on one in a month when it gets to 1000 or so.
What happens these days is people reserve or order a car, it takes a year to arrive, and they no longer want it when it arrives. It's pretty common, Peoples lives change - they get sick with a serious disease, they get divorced, their financial situation changes, or they simply lost interest. Then the dealer goes down the list and makes some phone calls to see who wants the buy.
To the OP. why endanger your warranty on a brand new car with 450 hp with a "tune" ? I have the same car (992S) and 25 years of HPDE Instructing, and I challenge most anyone here to drive one flat out on a racetrack. They are already incredibly fast....
The obvious questions: (1) Where/dealership and (2) MSRP or over?
Porsche west Houston. Exact MSRP.

That is so true. Similarly I would have passed on this car if it was a year earlier. Things change. That is life.

Thank you and I agree with your valid points.
I get vertigo when I tried racetrack driving, actually hated the Lamborghini as that was where I experienced them on a full day with all their company cars.
I have drag raced for fun most of my adult life and the 911 is fast but still has headroom, which is why an extra 100hp/TQ will help satisfy me, for now.
This car is a placeholder basically for my next car which is due summer 2023 so may just leave it alone and enjoy it.

.
LOT of posts/threads on what improvements (time wise) these boosts result in? You can do your own search to see what draggy posts people have posted? Since I too am more interested in “drag” times, than track times, I’ve been following these discussions for a while. My take away is - it seems to be a mixed bag…with some people reporting draggy time improvements, others report (essentially) the same times as what they get for stock? Complicating these comparisons is…lot of variables that can make the difference, and most don’t list under what conditions the times were measured (eg., temp, humidity, tires, 2W/4W, octane).
All that have done the power bump, do report significant seat of the pants improvements once the ca gets up on the RPM range. So, it’s real, but not sure it makes a whole lot of difference, from stock, doing 0-60 for example. I imagine 1/4 mi times and trap speeds are much better, but have yet to see those (maybe I missed them?)
