Default GTS Tire size question

I'm picking up a 992 GTS tomorrow and I noticed on the spec sheet that the stock Turbo S wheels on a GTS don't come with the same size tires fitted as on the Turbo S.

Turbo S is 255/35 Front, 315/30 Rear
GTS is 245/35 Front, 305/30 Rear

Is this just because of the power difference and it doesn't need as much rubber in back? I was really looking forward to the look of the extra width on the 315s (knowing there are compromises as well).

I'm guessing they should fit the same when it's time to change tires?

Thanks.

The wheels are slightly different. The style may be the same, but the front dimensions are not. Also Turbo bodies are wider to accommodate more rubber. I can't be sure but it may be possible to put 315 on GTS rear. Someone did 315 on GT3 wheels (even more aggressive than Turbo) on GTS rear and it fits okay (Rubber pokes out a tiny bit...too much for my liking).

GTS
Front: 8.5J x 20 ET 50 wheels with 245/35 R20 tires
Rear: 11.5J X 21 ET67 wheels with 305/30 R21 tires

Turbo
Front: 9J X 20 ET41 wheels with 255/35 ZR 20 tires
Rear: 11.5J X 21 ET67 wheels with 315/30 ZR 21 tires

GT3
Front: 9.5J X 20 ET46 wheels with 255/35 ZR 20 tires
Rear: 12J X 21 ET45 wheels with 315/30 ZR 21 tires

I do wish the CL's on the GTS were a bit more aggressive- they sit inward too much IMHO. We could use the Turbo front and the GT3 rear

Would've been super if we gotten a wheel style similar to the GT3s. They look wonderful!

The face of the wheel is the same design, everything else like width and offsets are different.

Look like a phantom until a phantom pulls up next to you.

Is this true? I thought that all 992s had the same "widebody" rear fenders now....

Yes it is. The Turbo's body is 48mm/1.9" wider than the Cerrera's. For now at least, only the 992 turbo models (TT/TT-S/SC) use the wider body. The upcoming GT3RS will also likely us it.

To my knowledge, all 992 have wide bodies compared to the last gens standard/wide body options. But the 992 Turbos are about 50mm wider than the standard 992,
