The glaring P O R S C H E lettering in silver no less (which I swapped out for black from eBay for a pittance of what other VARs wanted) was enough. I wish there was a logo delete for the lettering. I placed 911 Carrera 4S discretely on the doors. There comes a time when gaudy IMHO of course is just too much.
Just my opinion, but with the base rear fascia, it needs a little “911” in body color to break up the open space. Beyond that, it gets busy, in my opinion. That’s what we did, anyway.
911 only. In retrospect I would spec high gloss black on a light color.
Model designation is for your internal flexing. I was at a PCA autocross today and no one can tell what model subtype it is, other than a 911. So it basically only matters to you
I prefer the full designation or no designation.
“911” by itself is for practical purposes the “Base 911” badge, because so many Base Carrera cars are spec’d with just 911.
Color is highly dependent upon the rest of your build choices.
Badge delete. People that know can tell the model w/o the badge, people that don’t, don’t care anyway. Always debadge
all cars; less to clean around. Would have eliminated the”Porsche” text too, if it were possible.
Gloss black “911” for my C2S. The script is just too busy for me. The simple designation looks cleaner to my eye. Oddly, I’ve had random people point out how much they like the “911” badge.
1. Went for 911. IMHO Debadging on the 992 would have made the rear with too much “empty” space. I didn’t go for full badge on the other side because it is too busy as said above
992S Cab here, I went 911 script since it’s simply cleaner. I could care less if some random person thinks it’s a base. I sometimes debate whether I should’ve gone black for the Porsche and 911 badge but if I want to change it in the future it’s a simple swap from Suncoast, although it’s not cheap.
Since I was 7 years old, I have wanted a Porsche 911. Had the Countach poster on one wall and Kelly Lebrok from Weird Science on the other wall but always knew I was a 911 guy. I am now 47 and am in a position in life to own a Porsche which blows my mind. An S Cab with GT Silver over Bordeaux/Black leather and stick is coming my way. So of course, badging is 911 in high gloss back. And I will drive it like I stole it.
