Each to their own. Everyone should just get what they like!

But in my opinion...

* If it's got the sport design rear bumper then deleted looks ok.
* If it doesn't have the sport design rear bumper, I prefer the full model designation (otherwise it looks too bare to me!).
* On light colours black badging works well, or on darker colours silver is nice.
* I personally don't really like the "911" badge on its own.

Mine (Crayon without sport design) came used with model designation deleted, but the dealer is going to put a gloss black full designation badge back on for me.

 

Sorry for the old thread, but I thought this was better than a new one. I bought a 23 GTS Targa and of course it has the 911 Targa 4 GTS along the back and I find it kind of busy. Is it possible to remove this yourself, or is it best to have the dealer do it? I want to take it all off and just centre the GTS, thanks.

 

You can remove it safely with a fishing line, then clean residual glue with chems.

Since you resurfaced, Targa 4S is too busy for me, went with just 911.

 

Model designation was retained but in Gloss Black on a GT Silver body

 

I think it all depends on the model. I love just "911" on the longer-named ones. I have a buddy that specced a Turbo S to just have "911" instead and that's pretty baller.

to this. Debated going 911 or no model designation but I am happy with the decision. Also tinted the brake light and reflectors.


Then painted the exhaust tips to bring it all together.

 

Went with no designation on our C4S (no door badging either), complimented by the clean look of the Clear LED taillights, light strip, and third brake light option on GT Silver Metallic. Brings a very sanitary look to the rear of the car. I have clear sidemarkers on the way for the same reason.

 

That's my plan as well. I would actually prefer to delete the PORSCHE lettering as well (which I could do on prior cars where the lettering was just attached). No reason to advertise for the manufacturer for free, and the car looks better without all the clutter of letters. I too have the silver with white taillights and side markers.
