My friend says he would get a turbo with no badge, then put a “718 cayman” sticker there 😂 with the side air intake, it could be a 718 if you are not a fan
I prefer the full designation or no designation.
“911” by itself is for practical purposes the “Base 911” badge, because so many Base Carrera cars are spec’d with just 911..

Oh you got us! - My car just has 911 on the back because I'm just too embarrassed to drive my $130,000 base C4 around with the Carrera 4 displayed on the back. I had it removed hoping I can fool everyone that I'm really driving an S. LMAO!
Please keep the full model designation or de badge entirely for sure, I mean you wouldn't want anyone to think you bought a base car.

I debated a while as to whether to just have a 911 on the back, or de-badge entirely. I have the S. Don’t like the Carerra designation. Personally, I think just a simple 911 on the back, looks very nice. It’s keeping it simplistic. But decided to remove all the bling, and put the 992 S designation is the license plate. I have de-badged all my cars for many years, so keeping with tradition.

Yes I saw that plate - looks very cool! Especially with your car being rebadged. Props for that!
For me I’ve had 3 911’s. A 991.2 base, a 991.2 GTS, and now this 992 C4. I have never ordered any of them just buy them off the lot and take whatever the dealer ordered. I honestly never thought about what was on the back of the car. All three had just “911”. I never knew people actually cared about it, but I guess they don’t want anyone to think they are driving a base.

Plenty of folks do the “911” one for vanity. Not all, but plenty do. The Base Carrera is an excellent car and there’s really no reason to play down that it’s a base. Yet, many owners try do just that — something like 90% of the base 992s have the “911” badge. If you see the “911” on the back and still aren’t sure that you’re looking at a Base Carrera, just look for black calipers and small brake discs.
The general public can’t tell difference between 911s nor understand which trims are the expensive ones. So, it really doesn’t matter. To put it simply, Enthusiasts aren’t fooled and the public doesn’t care.
The Carrera 4 is a special car, because they’re quite rare and it’s the only way to get an LSD with the Base Carrera. I would have left the badge proudly on the car, because proper Porsche nerds appreciate them. I hope that you kept the badge. 😉

Thanks.
I don’t know if Rennlist is representative of most porsche owners? But over the past year, it’s my impression/opinion that many people on here care about what other people/strangers think of their car. I’m not one of those people. The only opinion I care about is from my wife.
Think the simple 911 looks cool. Simple is better. I spent a fair amount of time thinking about how I wanted the car’s butt to look, because I think on the 992, the bootie is the best looking part of the car. Maybe like some women? 😎 😳

I bought a base car and left the "base" 911 and scripted "carrera" on there, in silver too against the Gentian Blue.
I could care less what people thing about my base car, nor my badging preference, nor their options on here (not aimed at you, as I agree with you)!
I do like the simple "911" though on the standard bumper for the cleanest look.

That's exactly why I left the model designation off of my GTS w/aerokit. I want people to think I bought a base but spent the money to convert the brakes, add centerlocks, and fake GT3 wing.

Completely agree! Nothing beats the back side of the 911.

I had a 2016 991.1 S and it had the 911 badge. I suck.

That's how I see it. Waffling between "911" and blank. Personally prefer the cleaner look.
