All you have to do is go back on the tune thread and there are lots of times posted pages back. Our product has been out for quite some time now with quantifiable gains in every metric for all octanes. We have been in the Porsche tuning game a very long time. If you got to the drag strip with a mod for mod identical car vs one that is tuned the tuned car is going to walk it no problem.
We do not normally post Dragy times on our product pages or for marketing material as there are just too many variables to consider and can set incorrect expectations. We've said this numerous times already. Tire pressure, tire brand, tire age, tire temp, tarmac, slope, DA, wind, elevation, bad gas, high IATs, alignment, etc. you name it it's simple science, math, chemistry, and physics. We encourage our customers to post Dragy times and share them with everyone. The Carrera community does not seem to post these as much as the Turbo guys do so let's show them what's up! We are offering free Dragy with the purchase of our PDK2 tune for Carrera.
Thanks to all that support us and enjoy our product. Life is too short to drive a stock car. Have fun.
As I wait for my TTS allocation, I’d weigh in saying that 0-60 times were part of the draw for me… Can’t wait to use that “feature” often on the freeway on-ramp!
I have e the M Engineering Stage 2 Tune with 93oct and Akrapovic exhaust and pipes. Here is my best 0-60 time so far. I think it’s a blast doing 0 to 60 runs and seeing how the car performs. I do plan on tracking the car sometime and 0 to 60 times are not the only thing I care about. But 0 to 60 times are very simple to do and there are lots of places I can do them.
Nice. I would definitely consider this tune + exhaust worth it in the 0-60 category.

I just did a search (on this site) and while I see recent posts for the PDK tune, I don’t see a “lot of times posted” for the M-Engineering ECU tune….I looked at a number of various threads? Can you point us to the specific thread you are referencing? Thx
I assume from your pic, you are driving the 992 TTS. What was your time before any tune, or other mods? As is, the stock TTS is already blisteringly fast. Porsche’s own conservative number (does not include roll out deduction) on the stock TTS is 2.6 sec to 60mph….and my own experiences, with my stock C2S, I can consistently knock about 0.1 sec off what Porsche lists (see my post #4).
Not criticizing what you tested, just trying to assess what the differences are from before, to after the tune? Is it worth it (time and risk wise?)
As stated above, 60 is easy to do almost anywhere, but what I really would like to see are other times such as 1/8 and 1/4 mile..and/ or 30-70, 40-80 and 70-130mph. I suspect that the tune/power bump will have a more pronounced improvement on those times? I know it’s more difficult to get those times on the street….where I test, my run is only about 1/8 mile. So unless I find a 1/4mi stretch of flat (safe) street to test on, I need to go to a drag.
Thx

Just under 4 seconds before the tune. But I don't think they were optimized runs, in that I didn't use all of the same settings. For example, I didn't activate the sport response button.
I have a 3.5 second run (tuned) as well but it was on a slight downgrade but was "verified"/accepted by the app.

There has been a long and ongoing debate on Rennlist as to whether the Sports Response button improves performance anymore than putting the mode in “sports plus”? So, if you know it improves times, would love to get your take on that?
My own experiences with the 2CS is I can consistently shave about 0.1 sec off the number posted by Porsche….so, for my stock car, with no roll out deduction, I consistently get between 3.20-3.23 sec
By the way, I spoke with the folks at Draggy to see if they would tell me what the error (compared to the accurate number you would get at a drag strip) was with their unit, and was told the error was +/- 0.03 sec.
i’m just wondering why you and the other gentleman have a problem with the content of this thread? It definitely seems to irritate you both or the very least disappoint you. I was wondering why?
I don't have a problem with the content of this thread, I was just making an observation. In years past Porsche owners, and I would argue most European car owners, treated 0-60 times (and top speed) as intended; just some marketing. Like why drag strips are pretty much a US thing, and racing here is dominated by ovals whereas in other countries it's all about road circuits. We had one oval in Australia, a bumpy short circuit which went out of business very quickly. I did get to drive it several times in my road-race Alfa and it would try it's hardest to shake your eyeballs loose, but dropping down into heavily banked turns at speed, now that was fun.
Maybe it's the easier access to easily tunable turbo engines + PDK with launch control that's made 0-60 times more a thing with current 911 owners? Not sure, but as I say it's an observation.

my best time before the tune was 2/10 of a second slower. I’m thinking that tuning is probably not for you at this stage because you were asking about risk and time versus better results. They have been tuning turbo cars for as long as they’ve existed and it always makes a huge difference. But if you don’t think 20% more power is that big of a deal than it’s best to just stay away from it.
