Anyone test their 0-60 times?

I’m still surprised that the only time difference you experienced was from the E85 tune? Disappointing if you need to run E85 all the time, or need to re-flash.
Thx

No recorded time, but as I was driving down a road today I was probably 10 over and flowing with traffic and this ahole in a pickup kept getting within a few feet of my bumper. At the next light I was first up and he was about 6 inches from my bumper and I am keeping my cool. I start out slowly to cross intersection and then I put down the hammer, finally over 1 k miles, and holy hell I was a hundred yards from him in what felt like just a few seconds. Needless to say he did not come close again

Yes, having the ability to out accelerate almost anything on the road…is a very good/special feeling. I know what u are talking about.

Quite true. I've never thought of Porsche as a notable straight line automobile. To me, Porsche's have always been an overachiever and this has always been based on weight, structural integrity and suspension engineering more than horsepower and torque numbers. One trick ponies are what 0-60 mph (0-100 kph) and 1/4 mile times are made for.

Ironic, isn’t it? I thought this was a discussion forum, and asking how these tunes improve run times - any times - seems like a logical question to ask. They should just move along, if they have nothing to add, or the topic is of no interest to them.
Any “straight line” times (not just 0-60) are of interest to many people. Most will never find themselves on a track, but everyone will, more than once, find themselves punching the gas peddle and experiencing themselves being pushed back into their seats. If straight line acceleration times weren’t of interest to many., few automotive media outlet would bother to test and publish such performance numbers…even Porsche lists their car’s 0-60 times…because fast(er) cars sell.
To summarize the data I’ve seen on this thread, from two 992 CS owners that have the M-Engineering tune:
- 93 octane tune on stage 1: No/little time change from stock, 0-60. No 1/8mi or 1/4 mi given
- E85 tune on stage 1: ~ 0.4 sec drop on 0-60 times from stock. No 1/8mi or 1/4mi given.
*M-engineering warning: risk excessive engine wear and/ or damage by running lower octane than what the tune was designed for.
NOTE: I want to thank the two posters that submitted their times. Appreciate the information. The info on the TT was also informative, but since I don’t own a TT it’s not as much of interest to me….but any quantitative contribution (rather than simply saying it feels faster), is appreciated.

^^ what lower octane are you talking about? He was running 93 octane on a 93 tune. Then ran e85 on a e85 tune …
There are 1/4 mile times for stg1/93 posted on the M-eng thread, around 10.7s, have you gone thru the thread and looked for it? No one really posts 1/8 mile.

I have e the M Engineering Stage 2 Tune with 93oct and Akrapovic exhaust and pipes. Here is my best 0-60 time so far. I think it’s a blast doing 0 to 60 runs and seeing how the car performs. I do plan on tracking the car sometime and 0 to 60 times are not the only thing I care about. But 0 to 60 times are very simple to do and there are lots of places I can do them.
