Default ALP install in 992

The radar detector thread reminded me to post this. For those that have installed the ALP system in your 992s, where have you located the control module? The 991 “ashtray” with the lid was perfect but I’m not sure where it will go on this new car.

Any pics would be great.

Thanks.

Thanks but clearly our of my price range - without asking - and I don't see where they put the control module in the cabin (unless I missed it?).
It seems odd a company in Virginia is installing devices illegal in the state, no?

Mine is in the 'ash tray' (not that I'd ever use that little pocket for ashes) up against the front wall. Very discreet.

Has anyone installed the newer TX Black sensor on their 911 or a similarly low car? It seems this newer version of the TX might eliminate the problem of reflections off the ground but I haven't heard of any updates.

Height requirements are apparently the same for the TX black.

That is exactly a benchmark install for countermeasures and ALP is the best. That is undisputed. I’m pleased to see members here actively participating in countermeasures. We should. We all own rocket ships and there are lots of revenue generators out there. I will be having my turbo S completely done up with ALP/DSP in a few weeks by a professional shop called Automods in Sarasota. I highly recommend anyone in Florida look up this shop if they want it done right. They do all the highest end cars like Lamborghini, Ferrari Porsche etc. All the heads are completely stealth. It’s incredible the work they do. I think they have like eight 3-D printing machines now that are going full-time making designed parts for specific model cars.

Guys please don’t say something like this is out of your budget. These are super cars most people own here and another 8K to have peace of mind and protection while you’re doing some spirited driving is well worth it. In most states if you get caught going over 100 mph that’s a trip to jail not to mention your insurance company will ask for your first born. If you use laser jammers, Radar Detectors, Waze and pay extreme attention to your surroundings while you are driving spiritedly you’ll have a 95% plus chance of not contributing to that particular county‘s budget that day. It’s well worth it. Anyway thank you for this thread.
