I don't take the P car out when it rains lol...whenever it's sunny I take it out. Is it that bad in the rain?

I don’t either, lol, but that’s one of the chief complaints I have read. Some suggest the traction issues are overblown while others claim it’s like driving on ice.

This could be a tire thing too, cup 2 no grip in rain, PS4 lots of grip, traction control on, easy peasy, All season or winter, should be the same thing. As long as its not tons of water on the road, you should be fine.

This is interesting, some were having traction issues in rain?

Wet weather traction issues when driving on Cup2’s. No issues on normal tires.

I suspected as much, yes cup 2 even barely worn in rain its a terrifying experience. No easy way for water to channel from under the tire. I always am of the mind, cup 2 in rain? pull over, or get behind a semi

All the 992 GT3 run on Cup2's and I have seen them in the rain...so is it really that bad driving Cup2 in wet conditions?

I ran Cup 2s on my M3 CS, and I live in Seattle. My experience is that they are fine on wet roads if it's drizzling outside. Once there are pools of standing water, you have to be very careful with the Cup 2s. Hitting a puddle at speed can be a bit scary - you better be holding the steering wheel tight and in a straight line.

Wet or dry, you want the Cup 2s to come up to temp before going too hard.

I daily drove a 992 turbo with Cup 2 tires. My experience with driving in the rain on Cup 2's is very different. I was surprised at how well the car worked in the rain. The only time I remember an issue was in torrential pouring rain in SoCal. It was standing water everywhere on the highways and it would be challenging on any tire but especially Cup 2's. Soaking wet roads were not a problem for a Turbo with Cup 2's, only standing water everwhere was a problem. I would consider the Cop 2's an intermediate tire in the rain.

The 992 Turbo is definitely the ultimate daily driver, no matter what the conditions are.

The Cup2’s are attractive. I volley back and forth between buying a set and passing on a set. I want to try them though.

I was going to say, the 4 wheel drive, and wet mode or variance of the traction control definitely adds confidence. With the added downforce of the new Turbos, and active aero, there is a high likelihood the cars stability control was assisting you to keep you straight.
My guess is it was/has been acting so quickly to power and or break each wheel as much as needed to keep you going straight, that you did not even feel it, or rarely did. That is how it is for me.
I know it works wonders on my car, and makes it much safer, so I am glad to have it in the rain, and snow.
would say I agree with you that the Turbo or 4s is the ultimate daily driver through every season provided you have the best tires for that season.
But, I still would never daily cup 2 where I know it could rain, at least with a RWD only. PS4 are still remarcable on the road, and canyons, then let you go 120 in the rain still. It is a win win without compromising safety.
Any time i've personally been driving on the track and it is raining, or riding in my dad's 996 GT3 or 991.2 GT3RS with cup 2s and it is raining, it does not matter if the tires are hot or cold. they are always on the verge of no traction/hydroplaning. it takes no effort to slide, loose grip if you plan to or not. Same with the roads and highway.

Here’s mine on EVO SE and I have FAL. 12mm spacers all around but am installing 15mm spacers in rear this weekend

Nice! I'd recommend 15mm all around. Personally, I think the front wheels are more sunken in than the rears on 992s and probably would look perfectly flush front and rear with 18F and 15R spacers.

I have been looking at this and it sucks for me. I bought @KBS911 's Bilstein EVO SE's. No complaints with him at all or the parts. The problem is that it's part number 49-300581, which is for PASM/FAL equipped cars. My GTS is SPASM/FAL equipped so the spring rates will be less than what I really want. I'm already going to softer springs than my stock SPASM suspension. I really didn't want to go any softer.

Anyone know if you can purchase replacement springs from Bilstein? or a vendor?
