Default Sport Package Components

Hi all! I’m relatively new to the Porsche world and just curious about something. I was looking at a dealer’s build, and noticed that they specced the vehicle with the Sport Chrono Package ($2790) and the Sport Exhaust Silver ($2950) individually, vs. the $4630 combined Sport Package. I noticed the configuration tool allows you to get to that state by trying to drop the package and then keeping both components for $1110 more.

Is there a logical reason someone would ever do this, or is it just an attempt by the dealer to raise the MSRP?

Thanks for the advice and guidance!

The packages are banging deals. My 992 had the Sport and Premium packages. Much cheaper than cherry picking popular options.

There are several versions of the Sport Exhaust System Option with varying prices based on the tailpipes wanted/selected (black, silver, quad, etc.). These are explained in the “i” tab so you can compare apples to apples. Package price might include different tailpipes???

Some don't want the SPASM that lowers the car and makes it ride a little harsher.

I found the price difference of the brake rotors with and without sports pkg. The one with sport pkg is double the price of the other. I wonder what's the difference is though.

On the C4 configuration you also get PTV+ and not PASM. I think PTV is standard on S models?

Those are base vs S rotors.

PTV+ (Electronic locking diff) is standard with S model and PDK. S with MT gets mechanical locking diff.
