Not so fast there, buckaroo! Lock your wife and pups in the trunk of your car for about 90 minutes. Let them out and then tell us who's happiest to see you.

Navigating in my truck (he acts just like a big dog but he’s 10 pounds if that):

LOL….yea, I’ve had 10lbs little dogs come after my 100lbs+ dogs (over the years). Little dogs are cool. Luv all dogs.

It’s nice to see fellow Porsche folk have a luv for dogs, too.

This will be her first 911. She seems intrigued…

Here is a possible sub-thread topic (to bring it back to Porsche): Who allows their dog into their new Porsche?

I’m not there yet.

As a side note, over the years, we have had the sorrow of having to say goodbye to our companions. I consider myself a pretty stoic person…but not when it comes to making the decision to say goodbye to one of my dear 4 legged companions. I always cry like a baby. I’m a coward when it comes to making the decision to say goodbye.

Don’t want to hijack the thread but it’s the only relationship you go into with both eyes open, that you know is going to end badly.
I was a US Marine and 25 year police officer, saw many many good friends and colleagues die, but when my last dog died of cancer at 7 I was inconsolable. It is truly one of the worst most helpless feelings I can only think of one or two worse.

I sure did - in fact, we sold the Cayman and got the 911 so she could ride and travel with us!

You are more daring than I am. Well done! I hope your dog appreciates your kindness.

OK this is now totally off the rails, so before we seal this one.

We just recently lost our little boy Koyuk, to unknown causes and watched as several genius vets collected money and showed how little they knew or cared while he wasted away. My usual vet was away and I've buried so many in 30 years that I think I've reached a point where I can't bury any more friends; I'm cried out.

I've had a serious discussion with my last 2 girls and had a come to Jesus moment with them. No more illnesses especially as Kiska developed IMPA when she was 4 and Katmai was rescued by the State Troopers from severe abuse - the other dog didn't survive.

The reason I'm telling you this is the day before Koyuk died, our vet Dr. Jeanne Olson returned and we managed to get in with him to see if she could find out why or what he was dying of, a neighbor brought in her dog Friday that had just been hit by a truck. Little Friday lost his entire left leg and suffered a severe concussion. Far from putting him down, she had someone run to Home Depot and built this out of a harness and PVC. 18 days later, today, Friday took his first few steps on his own unaided in his safety harness. To her I dedicate this, her willingness not to give up and push to try and right the wrong. Thanks Jeanne for all you do.

Dr. Jeanne Olson DVM, AF veteran, pilot, A&P mechanic, carpenter, holistic vet, Chickenstock Resident Vet, Yukon Quest vet, human being and my friend.

Friday on the move

Koyuk and Chitina now eternally together

Admin/Carlos- Kill this thread as it has been completely hijacked twice in a row - first, by personal insults and fights (where you had to intercede and delete) and now by dog photographs and discussions. Thread was supposed to be a place where the unfortunate 1400 Porsche owners who tragically lost cars on the Felicity Ace could collaborate and coordinate.

Overnight trips for sure he goes. Shorter day trips usually but not always he goes. My wife got pissed off at a kennel owner a few years back next thing you know I’m signing papers and taking delivery on a motor home. 🤣

Okay let me try to get it back on track for you. The ship caught on fire, the crew was safely rescued. The ship sunk. What do you suppose needs to be coordinated and collaborated? Are the folks impacted mounting a salvage operation? Pretty loose use of “tragic “. Unfortunate for sure but tragic? Please.

I think you are being a bit rough with your comment.

Many affected are unsure what Porsche is really doing to replace their vehicle that was lost on the Felicity Ace. Not all dealers are very good in communicating next steps and managing expectations. Porsche is trying to manage a logistical nightmare.
