Genuinely appreciate all the replies guys. I get way more feedback over here than the GT forum. Wish they’d just integrate them together honestly.
Somehow I can’t help shake the feeling that my all black build would better suit a winged car & my silver build would better suit the touring. Although this video just surfaced & the satin black wheels look great. Goes to show, there really is no wrong answer.
Thats exactly what I would get !! It came between that and Gt silver with my GTS . Gt silver won only because I wanted something new after a gazillion white cars . Plus I have always liked Gt silver . When I see silver wheels I think "old people" . I like shiny like brushed but not the standard silver . Its boring but most think white is boring and I love it !!!! I would get the flat white over metallic too . Its total sport !!!
Had them in the past. Will never purchase again. From 10+ feet away looks like 4 spare tires/wheels.
I think love or hate of black wheels is driven by your generation. I’m a Gen Xer and I also see 4 spare tires when I see black wheels. It looks so unfinished to me. Also looks like police cars since they all seemed to run black steel wheels back in the day. It’s just not for me. Now my kids, they all seem to like the black wheels and think they look cool. Great thing with Porsche is you can choose exactly what you want.

It depends. I’m in my 40’s and first ran black wheels in the mid-90’s. How good it looks depends on the wheel itself. The Carrera S wheels look good in black to my eye, but black RS Spyders do not look as good to me. Black Carrera Classics look pretty good though.
I’m not a fan of black wheels. I recently purchased a 991.2 GT3T that came with black wheels and I am in the process of spending a fairly ridiculous sum of money to get the silver colored BBS magnesium wheels to replace the black ones.

GenX here. I love black wheels - depending on the style. I strongly dislike them in gloss, but chalk me up as a fan. Have had black rims on last 4 cars.
I think black wheels are trending out. So many people have gotten them the past 6 years or so and realize that, from any distance you don’t see the nice wheel, it is just a black abyss. I had 2 cars with black, but unlikely to go that route again. Having said that, I do think they look good on all black cars.

That is why I like black wheels with a silver lip. It keeps the wheels from disappearing. I prefer various shades of gunmetal/grey now.
The color that seems to be popping up more now is bronze and gold if it works with the exterior color.
IMHO Black wheels are awful. Over trendy. Over done. And ghetto / gangster.
I would say get Carrera Classics, they look fantastic. Or get the Exclusives with the black accents to make them pop.
I've made no attempt to hide my disdain for black wheels. Anytime someone posts a build (over 50% of the time I would say) and it has black wheels, I immediately think "you ruined the car" and move on.
I also only think that black badging works on White, Chalk, and possibly Silver builds.
