A matter of personal taste. I came from a BMW Z4 in Red with black wheels and I did like that a lot. When it came down to ordering my C2S Cab I started configuring it with black wheels, but eventually went with ED wheels (painted black inside) which I think looks so much better. But it is a very personal decision.

I have also black wheels on my Crayon Carrera S, and ik love the look of them in combination with crayon. The only thing is they are difficult to clean.

Not if you use Iron Off or a similar product.

Personally feel that black wheels look very old at this point. It’s been done to death.

I cannot help but dislike this.

Hasn’t every wheel color been done to death?

Yes. But I feel like silver wheels are always in style. While black, bronze, gold, etc are somewhat passing fads.

But different strokes for different folks. Have to admit I’ve built out a few configs with black wheels just to see how they looked.

Personally, I would never choose black wheels, after having them on a previous car. When they are clean and polished, they look pretty good but way too much work keeping them looking great.

Silver wheels are "safe," like a spec home with cream colored walls. On white or red, black wheels are timeless.

I’m voting for the one configured with black wheels, it looks so sporty.

I’m ok with black wheels. Pretty happy how mine turned out. Definitely depends on the paint color. Actually, one of the best looking 992s I’ve seen is a Rennlister with high gloss Aerokit on Agate grey. He posted a shot on here from Snow Canyon in Utah and I think that is awesome.

Did you end up adding spacers to your car?

Genuinely appreciate all the replies guys. I get way more feedback over here than the GT forum. Wish they’d just integrate them together honestly.

Somehow I can’t help shake the feeling that my all black build would better suit a winged car & my silver build would better suit the touring. Although this video just surfaced & the satin black wheels look great. Goes to show, there really is no wrong answer.
