Dealt with sand and salt when we lived in Switzerland for 20 years and drove my 356, 911 etc. all year (ended up re-welding the entire floor pan on the 356 but that was before more modern chassis etc. As has been repeated so many times, it's a car. It will get dirty and will be driven and enjoyed!. Carpeting will eventually get cleaned (who cares), mud and snow likewise. I'm not interested in concours d'elegance any more than in dog shows. My dogs are working dogs and sleep outside though the working part they've managed to remove from the contract somehow. Thanx for sharing @Overdraft I feel your pain, just can't share it.

I plan to drive my 992 that I take delivery of in a week or so year around. I am getting rid of my tuned AMG GTS for the C4S due to this specific reason. I got sick of looking at my AMG parked over the winter and here in AB our winters our 7-8 months with snow and cold temperatures. I do have other vehicles that I daily including my Alfa Romeo I got last month but still didn't feel right for the fun car to sit for most of the year. Of course when it will be really bad I won't bother taking the 911 out but I have already ordered the winter tires for the 911 so they will be ready to go on as soon as the car gets delivered.
