Thank you! Picked up car this afternoon and used the reduced setting straight away. Easy to find and I love the display.

I will assume that this is not a software update that would be available for the 2021 model year. Safe assumption?

No. Porsche made hardware changes to the PCM.

Default Use of Android Auto after 3 years

Anyone could guess how much will Porsche charge for the connection (or the use of Android Auto) after 3 years?

Earlier in 2021 there was a lifetime subscription for ACP in the configuration which was later scrapped. Similar to BMW they tried to charge for ACP but had to give it up. I doubt that will be reintroduced. It is “free” of charge.

We need to wait and see, but at least Porsche is aiming at regularly collecting the fees after 3 yrs.

Porsche says...

"Wireless Apple CarPlay and Wired Android Auto support included as standard for 3 years with option to extend to unlimited at time of ordering or later on as a Function on Demand for a higher price"

In 6.0, has anyone been able to have more than three tiles in My Screen? If so, how did you do it? I spent a half hour trying to find it. It looks like earlier versions allowed the three tiles to each be split in half or quarters for additional shortcuts.

You can only save 3 tiles in 6.0.

The new system utterly sucks compared to PCM on my 2021 992.
1. Custom button to disable auto stop does NOT show any visual indicator to whether the setting is on or off.
2. I used to be able to set a button to navigate home. Not anymore. Wtf.
3. only three big tiles. Very useless. I used to be able to have multiple nav panels- one for map, one for favorites destination. Four small panels for various settings shortcut and status like turn off screen.
4. using car play the track name won’t shot anywhere in instrument cluster
5. Apple Music native integration never works.
6. why waste so many permanent buttons for music and phone when they don’t really work when you have car play?
7. Every time u get notification it kicks you out of pcm and back into car play.
8. Porsche inno drove gotta be the worst intuitive system. Bmw system does not need me to read a manual to understand and use. This one, oh boy, I am just gonna skip using it.
9. rear camera so low I feel I am using a periscope to scan the surface of the ocean. A narrow road with an obstacle close to my car looked like a distant iceberg in the ocean. Its approach speed grew exponentially due to the perspective of the lens which led to very easy miscalculation. (Edit: I realized this is a problem with all 992. My last one had sports design rear which put license plate and camera higher, thus a much better camera angle.)

Would you mind sharing how you can scroll favorite stations via the steering wheel button? I have "next track" set up for the diamond button, but it just moves to the next numerical station. Same thing happens with the arrow button on the left side of the steering wheel. Note, this is for a 2022 Macan S. There is no way this '22 Macan has less functionality that the older system in my '17 Macan S or my '21 718 Spyder, right??
